Went there for the first time after a museum visit. Right off Wisconsin and inconspicuous. But the food is excellent. Torta so large I couldn’t finish it. Fresh salsa and chips. Friendly staff. Coming back soon!

Lazo’s Taco Shack has by far the best tacos in downtown Milwaukee. Just south of Wisconsin Ave on James Lovell. Clean, friendly, and a good looking restaurant. The steak and al pastor tacos are awesome. The barrio tacos are amazing. I’ve had multiple great meals at Lazo’s.

This place was amazing. They expertly took care of our party of 11. Our server was pleasant and took care of our every need (which seemed numerous!). The owner came to our table to talk with and check on us as we waited for our food and after we’d eaten. It was a great personal touch. The star of the night, tho, was the food!! It was very authentic, fresh and had tremendous flavors! I stuffed myself so much more than I ever should have! The whole experience was absolutely awesome! Do yourself a favor and eat here! Apparently, they also do breakfast. That may have to happen tomorrow.

Make sure to have the Birria with Consome. It is their most popular, but understandably so. Best Consome in the city. Jake and Jose served me at the bar, and Peta and Alejandro checked in on me and were very nice too. Great food, great staff, and great atmosphere.

We recently catered food from Lazo’s for a party. The experience from order to pick up was fantastic! Our guests raved about the food – it was ready on time, fresh and hot, and tasted amazing! The Lazo’s owner went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed (with a few bonus items!!!) This place does not disappoint! Highly recommend.

Chips and salsa were good! The flavor of the birria itself was good but the dipping sauce didn’t have much flavor, it just tasted like peppers and water and it wasn’t spicy either. Service was great tho!
