In 1991, Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill opened in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket District, bringing the state of Nebraska its first brew-pub.
Our food is lovingly hand-crafted from scratch with fresh ingredients, and cooked on our custom-grill fueled solely by hickory wood.
Lazlo’s serves handcrafted beers straight from our in-house brewery, Empyrean Brewing Company.
Dine at Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill and let us exceed your expectations through the use of premium ingredients, from-scratch recipes, and outstanding service.
Laid-back brewpub (part of a mini-chain) dishing up American comfort food & seasonal beers.

We hadn’t been to Lazlos in over a decade, maybe never for this location. They were the back-up to the back-up but had a Full Menu! Got on the list and were seated in a completely reasonable 20 minutes. Place was Crazy packed!
I knew we had to start with the Onion Rings. This is one of those things that regulars will NOT shut up about and I take very little convincing when it comes to fried onions. Seriously some of the Best in town, amazing Garlic Sauce, only drawback is that there was a pool of oil in the basket. I’m guessing when they aren’t as slammed it’s not a problem.
2 Soups for my husband (shocker). Loved the Chili, full of spices and well-balanced. Beer Cheese Soup had great flavor but had unfortunately kinda solidified into more of a queso concoction. Side Salad with Honey Mustard was Super yummy.
He ultimately decided on the Sirloin Kabobs. Ordered mid-rare he was quite impressed with the cook on the meat. Loved the accompaniments, coleslaw was a bit dry.
Quinoa Burger for me. Patty was good but the Avocado/Corn Relish on top was the star! Lots of yummy pickles on the side, a total winner!
A couple of Local Brews for him, the Collapsar Oatmeal Stout and Dark Side Vanilla Porter. After dinner House Marg for me. Our server VenEros (Vinny??) was on top of it and great to talk to. Food came out pretty quickly for how incredibly slammed they were. I am positive it will not be another decade before our next visit!

Great place to eat! Prime rib is some of the best in Lincoln. Raw horseradish is top notch! We had onion rings as an appetizer and those were very good as well. Service was good. Everything was fast and never waited on a refill or for the check. Lazlo’s did a great job. I highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try, I will eat here again when I am in the area

OK, the reason it got such a mixed review is the food is pretty much bar food you know burgers fries that kind of stuff their steaks are nothing special but they do come with a special price. I gave the weight staff a five because the gentleman that waited on us was absolutely excellent both in service and knowing how to properly serve, which is an art in itself I had the chicken marsala no it didn’t come with anything no pasta no rices just two sides. I picked the barbecue beans. They were excellent my wife got the prime rib enchiladas now here where the problem comes in they say they serve it with a green sauce. You could clearly see that that is a red sauce and that it is prepared with red chilies, not hatched chilies, not tomatillos so if you come from somewhere other than downtown Lincoln, Nebraska you’re gonna know that their b’sing their way through. On the green chili because no one from south of Kansas would consider that green chili all in all lunch ran about $54 plus a $10 tip. You’ll have a good time if you’re looking for a bar atmosphere I’ll post three photos of the food.

Did you know Lazlo’s Haymarket has a event space upstairs? This is a the PERFECT place to have large meetings, company holiday party, staff appreciation dinner or anything you can dream up. We’ve been fortunate enough to have our photo booth rental in the space and it works so well. Providing custom photo booth prints and digital files to all of the guest at the event. Best event management staff, best food, best smells (wood fire) and location in the Historic Haymarket. Love, love, love Lazlo’s.

Prime rib and peanut butter pie were fantastic! The smoking gunn burger was also great. Really busy when we were there because of an event, but the service was still great. Warm lighting, cozy vibes, highly recommend.

Reliable spot when you want something hearty without overthinking it. I ordered the wood-grilled salmon and it came out flaky with just enough char. Big, lively dining room, friendly servers, and portions that actually fill you up. Feels like a go-to for locals on any random weeknight.

Good service, nice place, I just didn’t like that it was very dark, it was hard to see the menu. You’ll see from the photos I took that it was dark. No brightness!

Didn’t get the chance to try the food since we were in a bit of a rush, but the service was outstanding! Our server was phenomenal, she explained everything in detail and made us feel truly welcomed. The best part of the visit was being able to reconnect with a great friend and his family after 10 years. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying the menu next time!

My family has been going to the downtown Lazlo’s for its existence In this city. I will have a random craving of their crinkle cut fries with the creamy garlic dip and honey mustard and I will inhale that whole entire basket before my perfectly cooked smoked salmon green beans and mashed potatoes come to my table. Always hot. Always great. If you have any issues just let your server know and they will always fix everything here. This is a local legend. Just go you will be happy.
