I got the three tender meal spicy. And it was better than some of the other places around there as far as flavor goes. Me and my dog enjoyed. Thanks

Great food and great service! We went on opening day and the flow of traffic wasn’t bad at all. Ordering was easy and food came out quickly! The only thing they could have improved on was the amount of Layne’s sauce they gave me. The container wasn’t filled to the top and didn’t feel as much sauce as their Bryan/College Station locations give you.

I’m excited to frequent their store often; their food is better overall than their competitor a few businesses over.

Everyone welcoming & service very good for opening week. We had the 3 piece combo strip meal and very good. The pieces were a bit small so if real hungry get the larger combo. We also tried the spicy strip wrap. So good but again smaller than most wraps. We really like that you can get spicy chicken strips and items other than strips. They have grilled chicken wraps also for those avoiding fried. Overall, will return.

I got the 3 fingers meal and it was everything I expected from a well known fired chicken place. I’ll definitely be coming in the future. It was a tasty lunch. I was extremely impressed with the ambiance. It was clean and everything on the walls looked super cool.

Layne’s was very welcoming. The staff were happy and made our first experience here very nice. The food was great. The chicken was tender and there are several different sauces to try! Loved the honey mustard and the jalapeno ranch was yummy as well. An employee had recommended those two sauces and she was on the money for that! Overall I would say our first time being there was welcoming. My tenders were spicy though but not a bad spice to it. Maybe next time I’ll do spicy and non spicy to ease my palette. Only thing I had an issue with was having to wait for the restroom but it’s not a big issue. But yes we will be going back for another round of tenders. I think next time I’m going to try the sandwich.

Layne’s is so delicious. The chicken (all flavors, especially the spicy) is fantastic. Nobody does it better in Nacogdoches. The lane sauce is yummy, but don’t forget to try the gravy. I also love the grilled cheese. It has a seasoned flavor not just bread, butter, and cheese. They know how to cook fries too. They are delicious and CRISPY!! Their copycat/competitor (name rhymes) can’t cook fries to save their lives. Thank you for coming to town to show them how it’s done !!!!

We tried Layne’s Chicken in Nacogdoches for the first time tonight. Admittedly, we expected it to taste nearly as good, if not as good, as Caine’s. Sadly, the meal was not good at all.

We ordered a #5. The chicken strips were hunks of chewy white meat that separated unnaturally when I took a bite, and the “spicy” version I ordered was way too spicy to enjoy. The chicken tasted as if it were fried in old grease. We were bummed.

Unfortunately, the chicken was so bad, we will not be back. Im glad everyone else appears to like it, though, judging by the reviews! Maybe tonight was just an off night for them!

Update: Visited there tonight with friends and they barely gave us any fries, plus the tenders were much smaller when compared to my first three visits. Hoping it was just an off night.

Original Review: Loved the spicy chicken tenders! They even gave us samples of each of the dipping sauces to try. Friendly service.

First time eating at a Layne’s Chicken Fingers. They have a new devoted fan!
Little pricey, but the price reflected the quality of food! Dang, the crinkle cut fries were even good!
Menu is not over bearing..(how much can you do with chicken fingers?!) and service was quick and friendly. Will go back on a cheat day for sure!

Our family and I came to visit Nacogdoches for a trip and heard of Laynes before and it’s comparison to canes so we decided to stop by and give it a try. First things first, the hospitality and culture in this place was amazing. We ordered our food and had a small delay waiting for our order and it was only a few minutes late when our food got brought out. Once we got our food the front cashier named Jeremy brought our food out and apologized for the delay, but on top of that gave us some free meal deals and checked to see if everything was good. Loved this location, and its food/service! Will be back!
