We tried this new chicken place on a Saturday for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by how great the service was. All of the employees have a great attitude, are super helpful and friendly.
We both ordered the three-piece chicken strips with french fries which comes with a slice of Texas toast. I don’t know what they put on their chicken strips but they are crispy and delicious. Their fries are super crispy as well. If you have a kid that loves chicken fingers you might try this place. It may be their new favorite place to eat.
The only issue you may have is the parking. Just know you may not get a parking spot right out front, but there’s plenty of parking in front of all the other storefronts. You may have to walk more than 20 feet but don’t let that deter you from trying this place. If you don’t want to eat inside, they also have a drive-through.

Its finally open and you NEED to visit this place NOW, i’ve eaten here for 2 days straight so far!!! I’m confident in my opinion that this place is BETTER than my beloved Raising Canes!!!!! The chicken is moist, breading is CRISP (not falling apart), and toast is TOASTY. The ‘Laynes’ sauce is amazing as well, but you’re not overly reliant on it as the chicken is very well seasoned; you could honestly go without it and STILL be satisfied!!!. Sadly you’re gonna be fighting for parking space during rush hours as they’re located in a relatively small lot though, but thats not a fault of the business; i’d opt for doing drive-through during those hot times.

Visited shortly after they opened, and the place was already buzzing with activity. I’d had Layne’s before, so I came in a fan and the food here did not disappoint. The chicken sandwiches were fantastic. What really stood out, though, was how welcoming and friendly the staff were. I’ll definitely be coming back. Keep it up, guys! Oh and everything on the menu is halal.

Not sure why people are impatient about the store opening but just went to the soft opening and was worth the wait. My wife and I were immediately greeted with friendly smiles and warm welcomes. The family that runs the store were all amazing and also giving us a background about the store and the original owner of Layne’s which was pretty awesome to know. I had the spicy chicken wrap which was light and refreshing. The spicy tender is simply amazing with the right amount of kick to it. We will surely be back!

The chicken wrap is sooo small
The fries are good but nothing like woooowww
Their special sauce tastes like raisins canes but with more pepper on it.
The spicy chicken tasted like its just dip in hot sauce and its spicy with no like flavor . I was exited to try it and yes i might still try it again but was disappointed on amount of serving and size on my chicken wrap .

Ordered togo, family meal with 20 chicken tenders! It was delicious, their chicken is crispy and very good quality. Their French fries are crispy too and taste wonderful. They are very similar to Raisin Canes and even have a similar sauce but I love that they offer other sauces. Their gravy is yummy! I thought it was really cool that the meal came in a cardboard box with different sections for chicken, fries, toast, and sauce!

My husband and I tried this place and we were overall so impressed! You can either get plain or spicy chicken fingers, which weren’t greasy at all. The menu also has many other options, including wraps and sandwiches.
There are several sauces to choose from for dipping (for the fries too, not just the chicken)! Even though they were $.59 each, the manager asked us if we wanted to try other flavors at no charge. Their house sauce is amazing as well as the jalapeno ranch and honey mustard (which are made in house). There is a decent amount of seating, although it’s a pretty small place.
We highly suggest this place, as you will be pleased not just with the food, but the superb customer service!

I have tried it first time this morning and it’s a full satisfaction.
Crispy, golden chicken tenders cooked perfectly — juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The fries were hot and seasoned just right, and that thick Texas toast? Absolute perfection. Everything tasted fresh and made to order.
The signature Layne’s sauces takes it to another level, and the portion sizes are generous. Clean location, quick service, and friendly staff make the whole experience even better.
If you’re craving classic, no-nonsense comfort food done right, Layne’s is the place. Highly recommend!

I saw that the Laynes on Hero Way was FINALLY open. I had great memories of Laynes during my time in College Station. Got a basic 3 finger combo with Laynes Sauce.
Overall great food and experience.
They have more options than the original in College Station, such as regular vs spicy, and more sauce options. The decor is also different, but that’s ok. The sauce was what I remember, but the chicken was slightly different.
I will be back and will probably be a regular customer.

First time trying Layne’s and decided we had to give it a fair shot. We are fans of the similar chicks place because of the sauce. Came through the drive thru and ordered original tenders, spicy tenders, a grilled cheese (for a kiddo), extra Layne’s sauce, gravy and fries. First of all the service was fantastic, very friendly. We had to wait a minute for fries which I’ll happily do because I detest cold fries. I was happy to be getting hot fresh food. My husband loved the spicy tenders. They have a good amount of heat on them! The original were tasty and crispy, a solid tender. Fries were so crispy and good! Love the paper boxes vs styrofoam for both recycling and that everything stayed hot and crispy instead of getting wet and soggy. The Layne’s sauce is much better than the competitors. We love the extra pepperiness it had to it. The Texas toast was so buttery and delicious. We even loved the grilled cheese! Usually I’d never order a grilled cheese from a chicken place but it was crispy, melty, and so buttery. We will absolutely be back!! Dry happy about Layne’s food, service and proximity to where we live!
