We stumbled upon this spot for lunch after we landed in Montrose en route to telluride! We felt like we found the hidden gem of Montrose! It is mom and pop feeling, made fresh, and a great variety of options. Our party of 7 had an easy time finding something that they were happy with ranging from spicy Asian salad, breakfast burrito, to pastrami sandwich. And everyone left happy and full. The portions are big- we definitely could have split but we just bagged out leftovers for the car ride and I’m sure the toddler will be happy to have options en route to telluride. It is worth noting the food is freshly made and not too fast for a party as large as ours. We would still come back but maybe just run to the grocery store after we placed our order. But overall a 5 star experience 🙂

This place is amazing! The staff is so welcoming and you can tell they love what they do. When you walk in, there is a kiosk to order which is really easy to use. The food was quick and delicious! My husband had the smash burger and I had the Asian noodle bowl— we were both happy with our choices! They also have an outdoor patio and cocktails, which we’ll take part in next time. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be back!

I’ve been wanting to try Layered since they opened downtown and I finally got to today, the flavors and portions did not disappoint! The spicy Asian chicken chopped salad was fresh, spicy, slightly sweet and HUGE! I shared it with my husband for lunch and then had another portion left over for early dinner. I also got the tallow fries with ranch and they were equally delicious and nice and crispy without the unappetizing flavor or soy oil that you usually get with fries. I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

Small storefront location, and very cheerful and professional service. Looks like a chef plus a kitchen assistant/sous chef at work behind a narrow counter. The working kitchen itself is bigger than the front of house. Seating is very small – think NYC bodega with maybe 7 chairs & combo 2 narrow tables & counter space. Food is top notch – best tacos and burritos I’ve had in a long time. Everything is freshly made and best ingredients. Nothing warmed over or stale. You’ll love it for the food alone.

Went here this past Monday while visiting my parents – and everything was sooo good! We split a sandwich, and asked if we could do a side salad which wasn’t on the menu – and they went above and beyond. We received two plates, with half a sandwich each and a side salad that was delicious! Above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and the food was amazing! Highly recommend!

My wife and I wanted to visit the Association Food Hall (which is a NEAT place). We were uncertain what food was in it, looked around and decided on Layered. We were recommended the Chipotle Burrito, which was so delicious and huge too. We were so pleased with our choice! The owners were so sweet and introduced themselves, as well as checked in with us later to see how we were doing. A yummy burrito and a good hangout spot, well satisfied!

We stopped in for a quick lite bite at lunchtime and Candace and staff were awesome! I had a creamy tomato bisque that was wonderful and James got the Asian Chopped salad that was easily 2 meals. I’ve also had the Kobe Jumbo chile/cheese hot dog which is an creative takeoff on an old favorite = must try! Will be back for sure!

The staff is so friendly, the service is amazing, and the portions are huge. The loaded mac and cheese is awesome, and the quesadilla was huge as well. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere!!
