I ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was very disappointing. The chicken did not taste as if it had been marinated, and definitely did not have the right spice flavor mixture. The chicken was also somewhat tough. The rice was bland, and for some reason there were pickles on top. The only decent part of my meal were the grape leaves, which tasted how I expected they should. Chicken shawarma should be grilled with a bit of a char on the outside and properly marinated.

Came in from out of town on a whim because of a child activity in the area, and was glad I came to this spot! The Franklin street social is great on its own, but this place made me a fan! Ordered the chicken shawarma and rice bowl and the food was fresh and delicious also got the stuffed grape leaves! Will come again here when in town!

I had the chicken shawarma bowl with salad. The chicken had a great flavor, but was overcooked and tough. The salad had a bunch of chopped up pickles on it, which was not very good at all. My son got the sampler and while he said it was good falafel, it wasn’t the best he ever had-and same with the hummus. He said the grape leaves were goopy inside, which is not the proper texture for a grape leaf. I guess for fast food (though we waited quite summer time to get our food), it is ok, but we’ve definitely had better. We had much higher expectations with a 5.0 review.
