What a great place! Their coffees and lattes are delicious- without being overly sweet- the same goes for their desserts- everything we had was quite good. The cheesecakes are light and perfectly paired with the fruit topping. The honeycomb bread is one of my personal favorites.
The staff is extremely kind and helpful in answering questions. As for the cafe atmosphere- very calm and clean. Very nice place to gather with friends for conversation.

I honestly don’t know where to start with what an absolute gem this place is. I’m a huge coffee enthusiast and an experienced barista myself, and exploring the local coffee scene is a focus of every trip I take. I especially love discovering the various coffee traditions of other cultures, and had never had the opportunity to visit a Middle Eastern owned or inspired cafe, so we gravitated toward this one as we were staying at the hotel next door. Walking in, I immediately noticed it was packed, with a line to the door, and I would quickly discover this was for good reason. The interior feels opulent and upscale but not stuffy or repressive, and definitely pays tribute to the owners’ Yemeni roots. Despite the crowd, the staff were insanely efficient, and we received our drinks and pastries within a few minutes. We initially tried the Adeni tea and iced Spanish latte, paired with a pistachio and Nutella baklava and the honeycomb bite pastry. The honeycomb bite, served warm, was perfectly light and sweet. The Adeni tea was beautifully spiced and balanced, a sort of middle ground between a typical chai latte and a Thai tea, and the Spanish latte was exactly the right amount of sweetness while still providing a smooth, coffee-forward flavor. I was so enthused I actually went back to the counter for a second round, this time for an iced pistachio latte, Tiger Glow refresher, and one of their beautiful little fruit mousse cakes. I tried the winter cranberry flavor since it was a seasonal offering, and it was so light and fruity, the white chocolate shell being just enough to hold everything together without overpowering the mousse and fruit filling inside. The pistachio latte was as delicious as it was aesthetically pleasing, and the refresher was a nice palate cleanser after the heavier latte. One of my favorite things about this place is the way they manage to balance traditional offerings with more viral trends (I will admit to snagging a few pictures for the ‘gram), so whether you’re a coffee snob, low-key tea drinker, or a wannabe-teen-influencer, there’s genuinely something to appeal to every taste. This is by far the best coffee I’ve tried in NY State, and my sole complaint would be that I currently live two hours away. I’d be lying if I said this place doesn’t have me seriously considering speeding up my efforts to move to the area. I could rave about Layali all day, if you’re a coffee lover this is absolutely not to be missed.

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, was in town from out of state but I’ll definitely be back here anytime I’m in Rochester! The iced tiramisu latte was incredible, full of flavor and so rich. The iced biscoff latte was unlike anything I’ve ever had in the best way, the way they made it taste like an actual biscoff cookie and had the crumbled biscoff all throughout. Drinking these lattes felt like an experience! The pistachio croissant was so fluffy and I’m not sure what exactly the pistachio filling was made up with but it was phenomenal. The baklava was so sweet and flavorful, and I normally don’t care for feta but even the spinach feta croissant was amazing! Aesthetically, the interior is beautiful and the staff is very kind and friendly! Definitely worth visiting!

Really wanted to try this place and I’m so glad I was able to get here. We came on Valentine’s Day so it was very busy but the staff were super nice, the inside is very attractive, and most importantly the food and drink were excellent. We got the baidani coffee, red tea, spinach croissant, and pistachio croissant and everything was really delicious and attractive. The drinks came out very hot though so be careful!
Layali coffee also has a conference room you can book for private events. As well as a prayer room. I will definitely be coming back here in the near future.

Definitely not the coffee shop atmosphere I prefer. Super crowded and loud. Had to keep asking my sister to repeat herself during our conversation, as well as difficulty hearing the counter waitstaff when ordering. Had to wait for seats to free up to sit down, which was OK I guess because it took quite a while for our order to be ready, and there was a mix up of some sort with my drink, but they fixed it before giving it to us. We both ordered pistachio lattes, one hot, one iced, a cinnamon cronut, and a pistachio Nutella baklava. The lattes were very good! The cronuts were mediocre, and that’s being kind. The baklava didn’t have much filling or flavor. For nearly $40, it definitely wasn’t worth it. I might go back for another latte IF I was in the area and I pre-ordered online and just had to run in to pick it up, but I won’t go back to “dine-in” or for the food.

The strawberry matcha I got was great! It wasn’t too sweet or artificial tasting. I loved the atmosphere as well. I’ll definitely be back

Really enjoyed taking my daughter and friend here for hot chocolate, a latte, and refresher. They were out of what I wanted to try but everything we tried was very tasty. Loved the vibe and seating. Decor was upscale. Nice change from Starbucks.

Delighted to find this spot in Henrietta! I don’t have much experience with matcha but the strawberry matcha made me a convert. The decor/branding/vibes are awesome as well! I will definitely be back in the future 🙂

Overall what I ordered from Layali was very good! But it didn’t hit all the marks I had hoped for.
I got a small honey maple hot latte as my drink. This was probably one of the best lattes I’ve ever had, but I was disappointed that I could not taste any honey or maple. It was just a sweet latte, I’m disappointed it wasn’t flavored like I had assumed. I do appreciate it was not overly sweet, sweet enough to feel like a treat but not too much to feel like I’m drinking sugar.
For a treat, they have these cute desserts shaped like fruits. I got the pumpkin shaped one, which is made of white chocolate for the shell, and filled with a whipped vanilla cream and pumpkin pie filling. The stem is definitely something, but I have no idea what it is, I’ve never tasted anything like it before. Overall, this dessert was just ok, I’m a bit biased since I’m not a fan of white chocolate (should’ve thought twice before ordering, my bad lol). The filling itself is great, they should just sell little pumpkin pies. This dessert was $11, which they don’t have openly displayed, you have to ask for the price. This is a dessert you get for photos, eating it is just a bonus.
Overall, despite not being completely satisfied, I enjoyed the treats I got here and will be back. I can see potential, I’ll definitely be trying one of their pastries next time I visit.

Although the café was quite busy when I visited, it was understandable given the pleasant atmosphere and inviting setting. I was not able to stay long, as I needed a quiet place to study and the Wi-Fi was not working at the time. However, I am still glad I stopped by, as I had the opportunity to try the popular LA-style pastries, which definitely lived up to the hype. Overall, it was a worthwhile visit and a lovely spot to experience at least once.
