I have to start by saying how incredible the staff are at Laya’s!

I’m usually the table’s wine connoisseur and I was torn between a few options. Our waiter went above and beyond and brought us each a glass of three different wines so we could choose our favourite; It was such a thoughtful gesture and immediately set a fun, relaxed, and welcoming tone for the evening. He was so friendly and engaging, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The décor was beautiful, romantic, warm and the perfect setting for a lovely evening & of course, the food was absolutely gorgeous.

Overall, it was such a pleasurable experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend Laya’s to anyone visiting or living near the Hollywood area. I’ll definitely be returning.

LAYA is such a vibe. We went to celebrate a birthday and it could not have been more perfect for a girls’ night out. The space is absolutely stunning — super aesthetic, cozy but still upscale, and just fun to be in. You can dress it up or keep it casual and still feel totally in place.

Our server was amazing and made the whole night even better, and the food portions are huge (in the best way). I ordered the Wagyu shawarma and there was no chance I was finishing it… it was so good and easily enough for leftovers. The drinks were also damn good and really well made.

And the music?? Straight fire. I couldn’t help but get up and shake it a little bit

Overall just a beautiful spot with great energy, great service, and amazing food. Already can’t wait to go back

The ambiance here is beautiful. The music a little loud, at times but the food is extremely delicious.
I ate the braised beef and I haven’t had a meal that savory and mouthwatering like I did here.

You need to know that Laya is elevating the Mediterranean upscale cuisine I’ve now come here multiple times with my wife and each time I am reminded why I love this place. All of the staff are nice and courteous. The ambience is on another level you feel like you’re transported out of Los Angeles and into a Middle Eastern world. We had the fried kibbeh and the beef Kabab and our miles are still watering days later of how delicious they were. The rose pistachio ice cream for dessert was a must have. I highly recommend taking your other family members here for an enjoyable evening.

Really beautiful restaurant in the heart of Hollywood. The Arabic style design and lights make the place feel super cozy and calm. The food was delicious, just a bit pricey, but overall worth it for the atmosphere. Great spot to relax and enjoy a nice evening! Definitely must go place. I’ll be coming back for 100%

Extremely Disappointing and Not True Lebanese Cuisine

As a proud Lebanese American, I was extremely disappointed with Laya Restaurant. The food simply does not represent real Lebanese or Middle Eastern cuisine, even with their so-called LA twist. The prices are outrageous for what you actually get, starting with the hummus plate that was basically the equivalent of a lick off a spoon.

The meat skewers were another major letdown. The pieces were cut so large they couldn’t cook properly, and they came out severely pink without anyone asking how we wanted them cooked. Later, they even served three skewers that were freezing cold, which should never happen at a restaurant with this pricing. The meat shawarma was average at best—we’ve had much better. The batata harra was acceptable but nothing special.

To top it off, the “latte” they served was cold and barely half-filled, which just added to the overall sense of carelessness and lack of quality.

For a restaurant advertising authentic Lebanese/Middle Eastern cuisine, this falls incredibly short and fails to deliver the flavors, standards, generosity, and hospitality our culture is known for. It’s simply not worth the price tag and does not reflect true Lebanese cuisine in any meaningful way.

The ambience and décor were nice, and to be fair, our server Caroline was attentive and great—she listened to our concerns and addressed them by compensating the cold skewers. But unfortunately, good service alone couldn’t save the overall disappointing experience.

We celebrated our friend’s birthday at this restaurant, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and welcoming — just what we were hoping for. The staff was attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening.
The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and there was something for everyone. We especially appreciated the attention to detail with the birthday celebration — from the little extra touches to the cheerful vibe, it made the night feel truly special.
The ambiance really set the tone — cozy lighting, great music, and just the right amount of energy to keep the night fun without being overwhelming. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to make memories.

This new Mediterranean restaurant is clean and thoughtfully designed, offering a pleasant outdoor dining experience.
The service was good.
Food was not as good as it looks .
We ordered octopus. While the octopus had a nice texture, it lacked flavor and seasoning. The lamb kebab was similarly bland, missing the bold spices typical of Mediterranean cuisine and it was a bit inconvenient that we had to order a side dish since the lamb kebabs came with only two pieces of vegetables. For the side dish we ordered potatoes.
Dessert, however, was enjoyable and nicely presented.

Perfect for a night out or special dinner, with a modern yet cozy vibe. I liked the warm lighting and playlist.

The hummus was incredibly smooth and rich 10/10. It came with warm bread that was clearly fresh, but it did get noticeably tougher as it cooled. Not a deal-breaker.

The Wagyu beef kebab was 9/10. Perfectly grilled, super tender, and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality of the meat.
