I did take out for NYE and it was such a great experience! The fish was so fresh and their party tray assortment was so good!

I’ve also dined in and the service is amazing, the wait staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere feels like a little slice of Tokyo!

Come here for high quality sushi at a low cost, I love this place and you will too ♥️

Excellent sushi platter. The quality and taste of the sushi were top notch at reasonable prices. We had a group of six people, and we shared a large platter of sushi (90+ pieces). There was a really good variety, and everybody loved all but one roll. The presentation was beautiful, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend eating here.

Very affordable sushi restaurant. The food quality was great for the price. The service was good and the food came out fairly quickly. We went on a Tuesday night and it was busy. Highly recommended when you are craving for sushi.

Lawrence never disappoints with fresh and delicious sushi at an amazing price point. The servers are always very attentive and the food is very delicious. Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants on the south side and a hidden gem. I highly recommend the moonlight roll, rainbow dragon, Godzilla, and the maki trays are also a great value and an easy way to try a variety of items. Delicious!

I’ve been here (and the north location) plenty of times and just now realized I have never left a review. It’s one of favorite places to get cheap and delicious sushi!!! The Chinatown location does cost a tiny bit more, but you can use your card at this location. It also has udon and ramen which are both delicious as well. Staff is great and service is quick. It’s a monthly (sometimes more than once in a month) visit for my household.

Must get the Banzai speciality roll!

Lawrence Fish Market is our family’s favorite restaurant. AMAZING SUSHI and ramen at an affordable price. The staff is always super nice and very attentive. We drive 20 minutes 2 or 3 times a month because they make everyone smile.

Give them a try and you’ll be happy.

As a local, I LOVE this spot! It’s walking distance to my house & it’s so lowkey. I’ve gone up north to their first location for years & having Lawrence Fish Market this close to my apartment has been dangerous for my wallet.

Now I’ve gone quite a few times since their grand opening in winter 2024, I even popped in the first week they actually opened. I’ve dined in & done quite a few pickups & I’ll say their service is excellent. The staff were sweet & attentive, mind you, I go when it’s typically slower because their dinner service can get slammed since they get a LOT of to go orders in the busy times. I also recommend to everyone if you plan on order in takeout, be mindful that the wait times can go from 30 min up to like an hour/hour & a half because of the complexity of what you ordered & how busy they are.

On the weekends they do have more sushi chefs available which will help a lot, & they do phone notifications when your stuff is ready for pickup.

Also, the receipt photo is also what I paid the first time I came (it was two of us) & we went all out. On a typical order we’ll get a bunch of fresh sushi & pay around $45-$60 tops.

I haven’t actually tried their ramen yet because I’ve been obsessed with their sushi tbh. I’ll get to it eventually & post an update promise!

Caterpillar (big roll) The rolls here are very tasty and fresh. I highly recommend them. One of my favorites is the summer roll, but this time I chose another one and it was also very tasty. As for the roll, it’s a good restaurant. The salmon and tuna are very fresh, and the prices are reasonable.

Ordered takeout from this place. Arrived to pick up just as a larger party of Chinese people arrived (I know they’re Chinese bc I can understand Mandarin).

I went up to the desk first but the lady working at 5pm on Thursday told me to wait and then proceeded to speak in Chinese to the party behind me.

I was totally and completely ignored for the Chinese group. (I’m a black woman btw).

Whether it’s discrimination, I don’t care to speculate. What I DO care about is being treated fairly.

It’s a shame bc the food is really good. Please treat customers fairly! Serve people as they come.

Edit: apparently the server thought I was an Uber driver since I showed them my phone.
