Just tried LFM for the first time! I would recommend. Great sushi rolls for an affordable price. I ordered the “A2” maki tray which is listed to feed 2-3 people. There was a good variety of fish (tasted great), texture and flavor throughout the tray. I ordered ahead on a busy night (new year’s eve) knowing it would take some time to receive my order. Though it did take some time, everyone was polite and handled the large sea of people well. I will be back to try some nigiri for sure. Also, they’re listed as “cash only”, though they did allow some patrons to pay with Venmo when the ATM malfunctioned. Totally worth it for take-out sushi.

Great sushi at an amazing price. We ordered the A3 tray, and it was bomb. the rice is good quality, well cooked, and its soft and fluffy. all their ingredients taste fresh, even their wasabi is soft and fresh. their rate is nearly a dollar a sushi which is insane! i dont know how they pull it off. the service is also great, everyone behind the counter and in the kitchen is super nice and respectful, full of japanese hospitality. if i had to describe this place in one word, it would be AUTHENTIC.

I haven’t been to this place for 8 years and I’m glad I made it back. The interior has changed for better and sushi quality was top notch! I enjoyed it so much I had to order twice. Will be back and recommend to friends.

Great spot for fresh seafood and sushi in the heart of Chicago! Wide selection of fish and shellfish, all clearly labeled and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering tips on preparation and best picks of the day. Prices were reasonable compared to other local markets, and the quality is excellent, everything felt fresh and ready to cook. The shop is clean and well organized, making it easy to find what you need. Will definitely return for weekly seafood runs!

I love the sushi at Lawrence Fish Market. My brother introduced me to the restaurant and have been hooked ever since. I drive from the south side just for the food. The quality and pricing is what brings me back everytime. Enjoy!

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in the city. Quality is amazing and you can’t beat the prices.

I’ve been going here for over 13 years, and honestly, they’ve kept the same quality since the beginning! They’re way busier now than when they were a small shop a few doors down, so expect to wait a bit when ordering on the weekend. I’ve never had a problem with my orders, except that one time when they took a while. I did order a big platter that cost over $140, and they were super busy that night. The staff expressed their apologies for the delay and offered a complimentary small order of miso soup as a gesture. This has been my spot and always will be! They are cash only, but they do accept zelle and have an atm in store

This is my favorite place to get takeout sushi when I’m in the area. The fish is so good and great value. I love the variety of roll options and their nigiri is so fresh. This location is cheaper than the Chinatown location, but parking and traffic is a hassle.
Call ahead of time to place your order so it’s ready when you get there. This place is always busy!
Be prepared for cash-only. There is minimal dining area, meant for mostly takeout.

You’d never expect amazing sushi walking into this place, but it’s some of the best I’ve ever had.
It’s a fish market, not a fancy restaurant kind of place. Looking more like maybe a deli. Looking at the place, you wouldn’t expect anything special, but wow. The fish is so fresh and delicious. And they make better sushi than most sushi restaurants I’ve been to (& I go out of my way for good sushi). This place is a hidden gem.
