The menu offers around 10 different burgers, available either on their own or as part of a combo with milkshakes or drinks.
A nice highlight is their Tuesday promotion: every Tuesday you can get a cheeseburger for just $5, which is a great deal. Because of this, today the wait time was around 20 minutes, but it was understandable given the promotion.
I ordered the mushroom cheeseburger with BBQ sauce. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it as much, because the BBQ sauce was very dominant and completely overpowered the other flavors. My recommendation would be to either reduce the amount of sauce or serve it on the side, since the strong vinegar taste really masked the taste of the burger itself.
That said, the place overall is simple and straightforward: you come, order, and get freshly made burgers. The meat is 100% fresh beef, and everything tasted fresh and nicely prepared. In short, it was a good experience, with room for improvement in how some flavors are balanced.
So I decided to try them out the next time, but unfortunately ever since that first burger, every single time was a complete disappointment.
Either they forget to put the sauce on, or the bun was all soggy drowned in pickle juice,
or worse the patty every time was dry like they were cooked by some sad heartbroken person.
This is my third time ordering, and I’ve been disappointed three times in a row since then, hoping it’s just an occasional bad experience. It continuously became worse and worse in the span of 2 weeks with my 3 orders in a row.
I don’t live far at all, so there’s no reason for the burger to be this dry like a cracker upon delivery. It’s clearly the cook’s fault.
You know it’s bad when the bun is the only thing nice about the burger because everything else in it was bad, and then even the bun became soggy this time.
Went a few times and it was great. Not the last two/three times tho. They had cut back on their portions of their sides which had a great value proposition before and that is gone now. The burger I remember was dry compared to before too but it just really bugged me getting one thing and being set up that expectation for it to be given something different and less. Use to be the bigger and the side would fill up the entire combo container. Now tho they put the burger and side in separate small containers. It was very frustrating. There are better spots for burgers around.
Real curds. Excellent gravy. Great taste.
Milkshake was fantastic. (Will definitely try a strawberry next time!)
Lots of seating and bathrooms (gender neutral!!!) inside and it seemed VERY clean. We did take our food to go but the cashier was very sweet and even brought the shake over to my kiddo when it was ready before the poutine. Thumbs up for great service.
We will definitely make the trip out again to try some other menu items with empty bellies!
*also they don’t have an option to TIP on the machine – so bring cash if you would like to tip for takeout*
