I had beef and mashed potatoes. it was very good. the place itself is so cute-inside and out. we sat inside but the tables outside looked great. Oh and had key lime pie which was too sweet and too tart and too perfect!!

I’ve been searching for verenika that matches the wonderful flavor that I loved as a young person. Very hard to find any restaurant that serves this and has always been very disappointing. Recently a gentleman suggested LaVon’s noting limited hours but excellent food. Of course, I knew i had to try! Called ahead and ordered 2 dozen with ham gravy. Just for reference, I’ve been telling my husband how wonderful this dish is for over 30 years. Today, he ate and loved. I loved!!! So delicious & flavorful with the smoked ham flavor coming through with every bite! Well worth a bit of driving. I’m in love ❤️ after 40+ years of searching for the verenika I loved, I’m so happy to have found my holy grail lol Now looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu!

Super unique setting and eclectic food options make each visit a new experience. Never had a bad thing at LaVon’s and the cherry pie might be the best I’ve ever had. Call to make sure they’re open and bring cash. It’ll be worth it.

If you are looking for a extremely unique dining experience with good food this is the place. I got there Veronica with ham gravy and and German sausage it was absolutely excellent. I absolutely love the atmosphere in this quaint hand-built restaurant… it is a must-see !!! Don’t forget to get a piece of pie… fantastic !!

This is a mom and pop place. The specials, change daily. They have BBQ, to fried chicken. With wonderful fresh pies. The owner’s are equestrian owners and can regale you will numerous laugh out loud story’s. Saddle your mule or horse up, and give them a try.

Had better bierocks other places got them and ribs few days ago. Wasn’t impressed with the quality of taste. Fair at best. Maybe just me but I’ve tasted excellent food and just doesn’t match up here.
