I was heading home from Pilates and craving a Thump matcha, which is in the opposite direction of my place. Google-mapped “matcha” and Lavender Coffee Boutique popped up so I headed over.

Parking was a little difficult (typical of Pearl St.). I ended up a 4 min walk away near Duffy Roll and headed over.

Got inside and the vibe is reallllyyyy hipster with an air of pretentiousness (it is a “boutique” coffee shop on Pearl so that tracked).

All of the booths face the counter, so it was kind of like everyone there working was staring at me and listening while I ordered. A little awkward but ‍♀️.

Maybe seats about 10 individual people at tables for two, so if you’re meeting anyone I wouldn’t expect to fine great seating for more than 3 people.

The staff was pretty helpful and super sweet. Ordering made me feel more comfortable. The pastries looked great but I’m trying to be good with my diet so didn’t get one. I ended up ordering a matcha latte with almond milk (their almond milk is slightly sweetened but their matcha powder is not – I ordered it without added sweetener).

There was a little line in front of me (2-3 people?) I waited about 8-10 min for my carry-out order.

The matcha was DEFINITELY worth the wait! It was the perfect temperature (I got it hot), texture, and flavor.

I’ll definitely go again when I’m in the area next!

Really happy with this coffee shop. They have a great quality of homemade syrups, the atmosphere is really chill. And the baristas are really friendly. I tried their carrot cake bread once and that was amazing!
When I went around 10:00 a.m. on a weekday I found pretty easy parallel parking and then recently discovered there’s some parking the ally out back as well.
You do get a discount if you bring your own mug.

This is my new favorite spot for coffee and meetings. The menu changes seasonally and there is always something new to try. I’ve had everything on the menu and the London Fog, Hemp Mocha, and drip coffee are my favorites.

Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met work here. It’s always a joy to see them. I hope this café stays put for a long time.

Beautiful and very cool coffee shop with quality beans and knowledgeable staff! If you’re looking for a well crafted coffee, this is the place. They have all the classics plus inventive “coffee cocktails” which we decided to give a try. The Mojito and Desert Gem Latte are seasonal drinks definitely worth to try! I can’t wait to come back and spend some time reading or working there. Great experience!

Ali was incredible! She went above and beyond to assist us. We ordered an iced matcha, and it was absolutely delightful. I also noticed they had a wide selection of homemade syrups, oatmeal, and some mouthwatering pastries. We’re definitely returning to Lavender Coffee Boutique not only for the coffee but also for Ali’s great service.

Small, very nice center coffee shop with various drinks, a small selection of pastries and oatmeal. The drip coffee was very good.

Service was fast and welcoming. The space is modern but small. Seating is comfortable. The counter is right by the door and you may have to wait to get in if it’s very busy as it was this morning. Between the conversations and music, it was fairly loud, but not unpleasantly so. They do have password protected Wi-Fi available for guests with the password posted. There were a few people using devices.

I walked into the area because parking can be difficult here. There were no open spaces when I arrived.

Suuuuuuper trendy and cute place to chill, and have a delicious cup of hot, black tea. Yes, it’s a local coffee shop. But I’m a tea drinker. And the way they serve tea was so surprising to me! They supply a timer. I loved it!

What a great new(er) roaster to the coffee scene! Lavender has been on my list for some time, and I’ve finally gotten around to trying it… should’ve had it sooner. Their espresso is phenomenal, cold brew (nitro) is top tier, and the interior is welcoming & modern. Everything you’d expect from a well established coffee roaster in the mid 2020s exists here — thanks! Will definitely be on the coffee rotation! 🙂 Enjoy 🙂

Fell in love with this coffee boutique! They have seasonal menu, and I order the Sage latte off of it. It was so unique. They had so many options of hand crafted beverages and treats. They also have a small apothecary. The decor has a subtle & chic ambiance. The bathrooms were so clean. They have a patio outback with some umbrella coverage. It was truly a great experience.
