Great place! They have the best lavash flatbread in town — we literally get it on a weekly basis.

The owner is an awesome guy, everything is made fresh, and it all tastes amazing.

Pricing is very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend!

Beat lamb chops in town. Hands down.

This place is a store that opened up a little restaurant type style in the back. It is very informal and that one time had no covering at all. It’s simply on the side of the building however, don’t let the setting for you. Some of the best meat, rice and salad I have ever had.

I’ve been coming off anon for the last year, and I believe they are open only Thursday through Saturday but you can’t go wrong with any of the food.

I’ve never ate at a place where anything the brain is amazing.

For dessert go with the baklava. some of the best in town.

The fish is also very good, but the lamb chops are like no other.

let me start off by saying this is not a restaurant. It’s a bakery. of sorts what I can tell you is, they sell the best Persian lavash in town. I believe it’s owner operated so be patient and let your presence be known so they know to come out if no one‘s at the counter

Was searching for baklava, most of the bakeries with it were not open yet. Stopped here right as they were putting it out.
Its a walnut baklava rather than pistachio, its a different taste but is still very good. Sweet and nutty.
They have a couple staples (milk, egg, yogurt, and sour cream) as well was a good handful of imports from east Europe including drinks and a lot of jams

They don’t serve food here. We went to get a bite, no one came out. They have a few minimal groceries in a cold case and baked goods that we could see being made in the back. No prices no menu no service

L’Avenue Hats & Bakery, 9645 Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento, was shut down by health inspectors for 20 food violations on Tuesday, June 10.

Health inspectors shut down the bakery after discovering a total of 29 German cockroaches in various locations, including behind the warewash sink backsplash, below the freezer and on a glue trap beneath the chemical storage rack.

Inspectors also spotted four flies in the kitchen.

The bakery’s back kitchen hand sink was “completely blocked” by a preparation table, which was a repeat violation, according to the June 10 report.

Fried bread rolls, raw eggs, sausage and cottage cheese measured outside of the temperature range considered safe.

The facility had not obtained its food safety certification, and California food handler cards were not available for review. These were both repeat violations.

Inspectors found an employee’s water bottle with a screw-on cap on the food prep table, another repeat violation.

The bakery was improperly thawing semi-frozen beef in the prep sink at room temperature.

Raw chicken was stored above mashed potatoes and other ready-to-eat food products in the three door refrigerator, and a bag of onions was stored on the floor of the dry storage area.

Inspectors observed “old food debris” and “grease build-up” on the countertop beneath the fryer and the shelf above the back prep table.

They also found food residue on an aluminum trap, measuring cups and plastic piping bags stored on a clean dish storage shelf. This was a repeat violation.
