This was my second time back here and its still pretty much the same. The booths could use a little tlc. The food however was better than before I really dont know what changed. The nachos were very good. The mozzarella sticks were like a 7 out of 10. The spinach dip was also like a 7 out of 10. The hookah were good but I had to adjust the coals because the hits were a little harsh. We asked for new coals but it was a while til it came. I believe our server name was Nia, she had a birth mark on her nose. Her service was outstanding! She was knowledgeable and very friendly! They closed at 1 and we left like 120 but they never rushed us out. Well definitely be back!

The staff wasn’t that nice. The waitress we had was so rude. They put us at a table that was very uncomfortable and when I asked to sit at a booth, the waitress said it was reserved so I asked why they’re reserved. If it was for reservations I would know for next time, but the waitress seemed annoyed I even asked and said “they’re just reserved for other people” and I told her I understood her the first time but I don’t think she understood me and asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. I ended up leaving right after. I won’t go back. I drove 40 min to try this place which made my experience even worse when I was treated that way.

Atmosphere: It’s dimly lit which keeps it very cool for the summer with exotic decor that makes you feel like you’re in a scene from Arabian nights. Plenty of very comfortable seating and is very clean inside and out.
Service: The service was amazing. I was greeted with a smiling face and had my choice of seating wherever I would like. My order was placed promptly and my hookah was brought out neatly, prepared for any adjustments that I would like to make. Upon leaving I was thanked and welcomed back anytime. I couldn’t ask for better service!
Food: I only tried the mango Guava smoothie as I was just coming in to wait while my car was being fixed across the street… but it was fantastic! I saw many people making orders who seemed to enjoy their meals, the portions looked plentiful and the prices were very reasonable; so when I do come back, I’ll be sure to order plenty.
For a hookah lounge in the area I would rate this establishment 4.5 flames . Definitely would recommend and will be back again!

Yummy hookah double apple mint. Their vegan food is amazing. Baba ghaouch and tabbouli are amazing. Nice decor and nice place to hang out in Dearborn. Love the culture

Came to Detroit for the Moto-Rama. First time coming to the Lava Lounge. I found the place from a travel vlogger I watch on YouTube, and a friend Middle Eastern friend recommended it to me as well. The place is fantastic!! Atmosphere is great, and so are the staff. Very friendly and welcoming to me. My only complaint is that the service was on the slower side. Once ready, it was a good while before my server came to take my order. I understand though, with it being a smoking lounge, you can’t have a kitchen in the same area.
However, the food more than made up for the wait!! Got the Kebab sample platter, meat was tender and juicy, rice was well cooked. Lastly, the pita with red sauce and parsley was my favorite! Definitely recommend coming here, if you are ever in the Detroit or Dearborn area! ♥️

If you don’t fit their demographic or are a person of color , they will flat out ignore you and not serve you. My group ended up leaving after being placed in the back on a literal door , we waited for 20 minutes and were never acknowledged.

Came with friends for Shishah and watch the Lion win the NFC North … The service was great and friendly. We didn’t eat food, but I ordered tea and an avocado smoothie and was delicious … Hookah was very good!!!
