I recently visited Lava Cafe in Leander and had a pleasant experience. The ambiance is casual yet inviting, making it a great spot for a laid-back meal or gathering with friends.

They offer a $10 per person corkage fee, which is convenient for those who prefer to bring their own drinks. We were 3 people, so there was a charge of $30.

The falafel was not that great — it wasn’t as crispy on the outside, though it was tender inside. The lava sauce added flavor, and the hummus was creamy.
BBQ & Garlic Chicken Wings:
The wings were tender and well-cooked. The BBQ sauce had a nice tangy-sweet flavor, and the garlic wings had a rich, savory punch. We liked garlic ones more.

On a Saturday night around 11 PM, there was no wait time, we got the table immediately. Service was quick and good.

Hubs & I had a few hours to burn after dropping the kiddo off at a party in Leander. found this gem & had the BEST impromptu date night. Service was A+. Hookah was delicious & lasted the 3hrs we were there! Cappuccino was perfect. Vibe was divine. BYOB but we were happy to get silly on topos. they have a shelf of games to enjoy too! We found a couples questionnaire and went through the whole deck – fell in love all over again. HIGHLY recommend. Would be great for a friends night out too! Lots of comfy couches to melt into.

This is a great place to hang out with friends, and the Mediterranean food is genuinely good. It’s refreshing to finally have a fun spot in Leander. Even if you’re not into hookah, the food alone is reason enough to go. The kebabs and falafel were on point, one hookah works for three people, and the prices are very reasonable. I’d definitely recommend trying it.

Me and my wife stopped by last evening and we were honestly really impressed. The vibe was great, super comfy seating, didn’t expect a spot like this on Ronald Reagan Blvd. We had the chicken tikka kebabs and they were full of flavor. Tried the Arabian Nights hookah too, and wow… probably the best I’ve had. We ended with their LAVA cake and it was really good, definitely worth trying. I’ve already told a few friends about it, and definitely be back to support this place.

The hookah flavor and setup were absolutely perfect — smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was top-notch, especially from the managers and the hookah maker, who went out of their way to make sure everything was dialed in just right. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience.

Went here for my wife’s 29th Birthday, was super inviting because we haven’t been into anything Hookah for many years. Was patient with us trying to decide what we would like. The food was excellent and they brought out a slice of cake just for her birthday completely free. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I would hate to do this any business but sadly the experience was below disappointing. The food was expensive and flavors were flat. The food was served on plastic tray with disposable utensils. If you’re serving Mediterranean menu then you need to do justice to the flavors, items and quantity. They’re sadly missing all of them. Even the tea kettle was cheap and plastic. You don’t serve hot food or beverage on plastic. It’s a closed space with very loud music. Everyone was having a hard time to have a good conversation.
