This place was such a great find! Way better than Canes, Golden Chick, or Chick-fil-a. For the quality and quantity of the food, it’s well worth what you pay. The chicken is consistently juicy and cooked perfectly. I also love how the openly advertise that they fry their food in beef tallow. If you are in the area and love spicy chicken, this should be your place! It’s never super busy, which makes me sad because their food is SO GOOD!

Wasn’t sure what to expect but I was not disappointed. The good portions pretty hefty. I got the Chicken Chunks with Fries. Great sized chicken and fries. The chicken is smaller than a strip but way bigger than a nugget. I got the 12 piece for $15. I got mild and that had a little bite to it. Next time I will get hot. I recommend asking for a second dipping sauce. Not sure if that would have an additional charge. Excited to come back. My wife got loaded fries.

I tried Lava Hot Chicken for the first time today and it ended up being way better than I expected. I went around dinner time and the place had a warm and busy atmosphere without feeling chaotic. The staff greeted me like they already knew me and it instantly made the place feel welcoming. I ordered the medium hot chicken sliders with loaded fries because the reviews kept recommending them.
The food came out in about ten minutes and the smell alone was insane. When I picked up the first slider the bun was soft and warm and the chicken was thick crispy and juicy. The spice level was legit with heat that built slowly in the best way. Their signature sauce tied everything together with a mix of tangy and slightly sweet flavors that made it hard to put down.
The loaded fries were even better than I expected. Crinkle cut fries covered in sauce cheese and pieces of hot chicken. I tried to eat them with a fork at first but after two bites I just accepted that it was going to be messy and went all in.
The biggest surprise was how clean the place was. The tables the floor and even the drink station looked freshly wiped down. The staff checked on me just enough without hovering which made the whole experience feel comfortable.
I left full slightly sweaty from the spice and honestly impressed. The portions were generous the prices were fair and the food had real flavor. I already know I am coming back to try the extra hot next time.

Okay, confession time: my first review of this place was… meh. So here I am to make some much deserved edits. After giving it another 5-6 tries (yes, we basically moved in), I’m here to say this spot is now OURS. Like, if they had loyalty cards, I’d be platinum.
Originally, I had beef with the staffing and the dipping sauce. Fast forward to our return visit and suddenly the sauce was like all my CDs in the 90’s, WOW. My family and I were like, “Wait… did they hire a sauce wizard?” Turns out, they make it from scratch, so maybe the magic just needed time to brew?
Staffing? Also upgraded, like extra leg room. Later found out they revamped both the team and the sauce. Honestly, 10/10 decisions.
The owner clearly reads reviews, acts accordingly, and truly cares about his customers and his restaurant. So yeah, if you’re on the fence-hop off and walk straight in. You won’t regret it!!

AMAZING food and service! The chicken is moist and the breading is perfectly done. It’s also not too greasy! We had both hot and extra hot. Hot is perfect if you love spice but don’t want to over do it. Extra hot is at just the right level to break a sweat. The sauce offsets the heat nicely. Portion sizes are big, you definitely won’t leave hungry. Our food came out quick, hot, and fresh. Service was impeccable. They have a nice indoor seating area and also a large outdoor area. We will be back!

Lovers of spicy, juicy chicken need to come here!! I got the chicken chimichanga and it was to die for!!! I got the 2nd hottest level and it was too spicy for me (and I eat spicy) so I will be back to try it again with a more tolerable spice for me. The lady at the front was engaging, sweet and attentive. She continued to check in on us through out our meal. My only complaint was, with chicken I love me some sweet tea. When we went the only option was unsweetened. Something told me to open the lid and when I did the obscene amount of slime and maybe even some mold was sitting on top. I work in a restaurant, so I know that that slime means it has been sitting there awhile… It was enough slime to guess it had been there overnight. The lady quickly took it to the back and rinsed it and made a fresh batch.

Food proportions are well given and taste is top notch.
If you like heat, I’d go with the “Hot” heat level as it’s definitely spicy but still comfortable enough to keep eating. It is better than the competition across the street 😉

We tried this place one evening for dinner, we were greeted as soon as we entered, the cashier was very friendly and helpful. First the ‘Tenders’ as they call them are huge. My partner and I ordered the 2 piece and it was a lot of food. I tried the hot which was very delicious and my partner got the mild which was very tasty. The Lava Sauce was a spicy Honey Mustard but very different from other Honey Mustard sauces. We also ordered the Maple Waffle Fries which were delicious and would make a great dessert item. Very original and tasty. You order your food at the counter and when it is done they will call you or bring it out to your table. We found the restaurant very clean as were the restrooms. We spoke with the Manager who was very helpful. We will return again and again.
