What a cute little cafe and bakery. They have my favorite: danishes. But had to skip on that…this time. In the neighborhood for an oil change down the street at Cornerstone auto Solutions. Was hungry for a sandwich. Searched for food LOL and saw this cafe down the street. Walking distance. so got me a turkey bacon on croissant and super delicious. They have calm jazzy music playing in the background. Total of 3 sets of chairs and table, 2-outside and 1-inside. Such a cute Cute CUTE place to have a snack or some time for yourself. I needed this. The ladies are so sweet and kind. Fast service. Just such a great a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Lots can be said about a previous post I read on this place and I’ll just say that If you want to make your sandwich at home then go for it LOL. Super satisfied and $10-15 price for sandwich and drink is decent. 🙂

Some of the pastries are good. We got the sandwiches, the famous chicken salad, and the turkey berry, and the turkey pesto. Something like $10 for each. Immensely disappointed and almost feel ripped off.
The turkey pesto reminded me of the cheap sandwiches I would get at CSUF, the ones they made in the university kitchen and distributed across campus. But I could get a better sandwich plus chips and a drink for like $5 at the campus.
The croissant bread, and the breads for all three sandwiches, felt and tasted day old refrigerated. The “famous” chicken salad sandwich should only be famous for its mediocrity.
For the turkey berry, there was only one measley slice of run of the mill sliced turkey deli meat and the berry jam or what have you was overpowered by cinnamon or cloves, punches you in the mouth.
With the sandwiches we also got stale cookies, which apart from the staleness, were just okay. The individually packaged pickle spears that came with the meal were okay. All in all, you could far and away make your own sandwich at home and it’d be better.
Or if you wanna spend $10 on a sandwich, go to subway or Claro’s or Jersey Mike’s or just make your own. Place gets 2 stars because the pastries we got over the weekend were good.

My wife and I got lunch at Laura’s again today. We both had Chinese Chicken Salads. Everything we get at Laura’s is excellent…sandwiches, salads, bakery items. And the staff is excellent. I mentioned once I love Cheetos…my bag lunch always has Cheetos! Clarissa is one of the nicest people in the world. I hope readers will try Laura’s and then continue to support Laura’s.

Was a local who frequented Laura’s a few times a week. The chicken salad on croissant was awesome but not gonna lie, I stopped in many times for the lemon bars and other sweet treats. Usually grab a sandwich cause Laura made me feel guilty that I only came for the sugar…lol I just read it’s under new ownership so the nostalgia part is still there if they didn’t change things around. It was a great place, a diamond in the Ruff back then. Hope it stays that way.

I really wanted to like this place but sadly I am terribly disappointed! The three sandwiches we ordered were so LOUSY! If you’re going to charge over $9.00 per sandwich at least put a little effort into making a good sandwich. Come on! We had a Turkey berry sandwich on sourdough bread. The bread tasted old, just old bread slathered in cranberry sauce so overwhelming tasing of cloves, one measly slice of Turkey and not even good Turkey,
A token tiny piece of lettuce and that was it!!
Unbelievable! The chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was just ok but the croissant tasted like it was day old bread. The same goes for the Turkey pesto sandwich, old bread one slice of low quality Turkey. We are definitely NOT coming back. I do not recommend this place at all. I’m finding it hard to believe they’ve been around sine 1994. How can you stay in business serving food like that? I am truly baffled!

If you love chicken salad sandwiches then this is a “MUST” visit. Very friendly staff and a small place but those sandwiches are incredible. If you eat there they deliver a plate with your sandwich, a bag of chips, a dill pickle (my wife always gives me hers) and a cookie. The combo also comes with a drink. Other sandwiches are available as well as jellies and other baked goodies. Don’t pass Laura’s without treating your tastebuds to a bit of heaven.

Finally got to try their almond chicken sandwich, and it’s just like it sounds, delicious! The employees working there are so sweet and accommodating, but their hours are Mon-Fri 0730-1530. No more Saturdays.
