My husband and I love this restaurant!!!
The food is always fresh and hot. It’s NEVER bland, overly seasoned, nor cold. It’s always made to absolutely perfection, you can tell everyone loves what they do here. The staff is always so friendly and nice, you never feel awkward when talking with them. They give the best service every single time! This restaurant deserves all five stars, it’s a great experience and a great addition to Thibodaux. If you haven’t tried it, please do! Get the house special sauce on your boil or as a side sauce order it will change your life! For our latest experience Nichole was absolutely amazing! My husband LOVES the mozzarella sticks and the calamari is dream worthy. Please please please try this place you won’t regret it, don’t listen to the negativity it’s not true! Great food, great prices, great staff, great atmosphere, greatness all round! This place is AMAZING 10/10 will always recommend!

To begin, Im a Fiery Crab regular…

Ate here for the first time 12/06 Saturday night. Place was pretty slow business wise, probably because of all your goofy reviews.
Wife and I got an appetizer, the weekend boil special, and 6 imported beers. I spent half of what it would’ve cost @ the crab. 130ish before tip.
Service was quick & attentive. Music and ambience was good. Food was great. Went the extra spicy because people on here said the flavor might be bland, lol. Definitely the opposite.
The only thing different from the fiery crab is your boil isn’t shaken to taste in a bag with the season, which in my case was cool, because I could adjust the season as I pleased. Also the sausage was sliced and not in quarters. Not a dramatic deal at all.

If you haven’t eaten here dont listen to these negative nuts. I will definitely be back for the weekend boil discount or the Monday to Friday drink specials with a poboy or fried basket.

My husband and I just went eat at the laughing crab in Thibodaux for the first time. We both ordered the 1 lb of Dungeness crabs that came with potatoes, corn and sausage. We also ordered another 1 lb to go. The food was good the service great. Unfortunately I was disappointed that for $35 I only got 2 crab clusters and 1 potato 1 corn and about 10 thin sliced pieces of sausage. Usually when I order at any other crab restaurant like the shack or the firery crab in houma I get 1 lb of crab and the potatoes sausage ect are not included in that lb its seperate. I usually get 3 clusters of select Dungeness crabs not 2. So when I got home I took out my kitchen scale and weighted the order we got to go. The total weight of the bag was one pound which included 1 corn 1 potato and the thin sliced sausage. The actuall crab clusters were weighed separately they weighed about 1/2 lb. I didn’t realize I was paying $35 a lb for potatoes corn and sausage. I truly feel like I was ripped off.. I won’t be going bk. I can buy Dungeness crab clusters at Rouses for a lot cheaper and cook them at home. Just warning everyone if u get the one pound special u paying $35 a lb for the corn potatoes and sausage and only getting 1/2 lb of the crab clusters.

Before my review I’d like to say I ordered a to-go order. So, really, I cannot speak for the service or the internals of the restaurant well.
I understand a lot of people are a bit picky or biased towards this restaurant because it’s a new seafood place in Southern Louisiana. Though honestly a lot of people are— forgive me— snooty about it.
I ordered two Wednesday specials to share amongst three people and have left overs.
Price, I thought, was pretty okay for what was paid. I rarely buy this type of food so I don’t have much a frame of reference.
I loved what I ate, and kept sneaking an extra sausage or two while cleaning up. The other two eating with me loved it as well.
I’d like to note that I really enjoyed the headless shrimp having a cut down the center of it’s back, separating the shell for an easier peel and often removing the vein. It’s a small thing, but a pretty convenient addition.
I hope people give this place a fair chance, as it seems this particular lot in Thibodaux has bad luck for the businesses that stay here.

Overall ..food was good raw oysters were great ..I enjoyed my combo snow crabs and shrimp cajun med sauce was perfect …fried combo was so so…the soft shell crab and hushpuppies are good . The calamari was not good….looked and felt like rubber bands .. other than that we were pleased ..service was good . The only real complaint is the sewage smell inside …definitely needs to be addressed.

The food was good, reasonably priced and the chef was knowledgeable on gluten. The house sauce is not gluten free, but the other sauces are, which is important to me as I’m celiac. The place is very nice and the decor is really neat. Service was good and our waitress was sweet.

Started with a cosmo cocktail and some raw oysters. Both were very good. Next we had a snow crab and shrimp special with the house special sauce. Very good but next time we would get the sauce on the side. It was a little hard to peel with all the sauce. Overall we enjoyed and will be back.

If seafood boil bags are your “thing” Laughing Crab will surely fix your craving. This was my daughter’s restaurant choice while she was home from college over winter break and it didn’t disappoint. There are daily specials and so many flavoring options. The waitress was attentive and the food was really good. Only thing on the negative side I could mention is that I sort of cringed when I saw all the individual charges for the small cups of dip on our bill. Seafood in itself is pricey, understandable there, but had I realized this (it’s likely on the menu I just didn’t notice) prior to seeing the bill, I would’ve easily become a non dipper that day as a matter of principle.

Severs where extremely nice took their time making sure i got exactly what i wanted it was my first time trying snow crab legs and they where amazing the buttery sauce was sublime and the flavor was amazing deff would reccomend i was skeptical thinking the boil wouldn’t have enough flavor but it deff did. Also you are greeted by the great captain jack sparrow when you enter its the best XD.

I recommend ordering house special half pound head off shrimp. The sauce in seafood is so good. It’s like they brought a Texas seafood boil to southern Louisiana. The cheese sticks are also really good.
