So glad I found this restaurant amongst the many in Chinatown. I enjoy the roasted duck noodle soup from another restaurant but I decided to give this a try and I was happy I did!
I like how Lau Kee separates the broth from the noodles and vegetables! The flavor of the broth alone was delicious! When I put the two together…it was perfection. The duck is seasoned well and there is a nice portion of noodles.
I will definitely be adding Lau Kee to my fav list!

Got curious with this Restaurant so I decided to order via doordash.
左宗鸡 General Tso’s Chicken – Some parts were not easy to chew. I had much better ones. It came with a side of rice.
Soy 油鸡饭 Soy Sauce Chicken with Green Vegetable – this one my fave comparable to Sangkee. I love this one because tender, moist, juicy and has fat in the skin. Delish I am missing of the sauce on the side. This one is over rice. Huge portion of rice
烧鸭饭 Roasted Duck on Rice with Green Vegetable Q – the duck could have been better. The skin is not as crispy as I would like. Lack of flavor. Sangkee still has the best Roasted Duck.
This one is over rice. Huge portion of rice
I gave it a try but won’t order here again. One and done

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, give this place a shot. We tried the eggplant with chicken and rice, and the crispy noodles with shrimp, chicken, and pork. Both dishes were tasty and fresh. It’s better to pay cash. The staff are friendly, and they serve green tea.

Shrimp dumplings 8* for 7.5$, tasty shrimp coated with bread cloth, dipped in sweet & sour sauce, you won’t regret, trust the cat what you should order. 9/10

We’ve been enjoying home delivery from Lau Kee for many years. Yesterday we dined-in at their small yet busy Philly Chinatown location for the first time. Their food is excellent from delivery. It’s even better right out of the kitchen. Unpretentious, with quick, responsive service.

The shrimp dumplings was good and crunchy. The rice was Ard,very stiff and maybe microwaved, the wonton soup was ok. But that broth was popping. Most likely I won’t return.

July 2025 … yummy beef with bitter melon on rice
May 2024 … nice staff. Roasted duck over rice are good but not as good as 2 yrs ago. Portion is smaller and price is higher.
Year 2022… HK style roasted duck, yummy! Nice greeting from staff too.

I’ve been going to this restaurant since the week they first opened years ago and this place is consistently perfect! The service is fast and friendly; I’m a regular from Northwest Philadelphia (Roxborough) and I always find that if I make a trip to Chinatown that it’s a MUST to visit. I usually start off with a Wonton Soup and a Peking Duck Roll; which is to die for! Then I usually get one of my favourite entrees which is Orange Beef (crispy fried beef tossed in a sauce so delicious and flavourful that you’ll get bites where you taste actual orange) or I’ll get Shrimp, Squid, Scallops with Chinese Five Spice which is always fresh and seasoned to perfection while still remaining light and not overbearing. Other favourites include their Singapore Mei Fun, Roasted Duck Congee which is a winter necessity, and their General Taos Chicken, but to be fair anything you get here will inevitably blow you socks off.

I had the duck appetizer it was fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had the garlic eggplant chicken which was lovely. The portions are huge, one main is enough for two. There wasn’t an ambience as such basically a few tables, but the staff was very welcoming and warm.

I had been craving both roast duck and curry chicken, so we came in here and I ordered both. Most of the items we got were good. The curry chicken was not to my liking. I’m used to skin-on and bone-in pieces of wing/thigh meat with potatoes. What we got instead was rubbery pieces of skinless and boneless white meat and no potatoes. I would definitely not get curry chicken here again and just go somewhere else for that where they prepare it the traditional Cantonese style that I’m used to. The roast duck was good though and I would definitely come here again and order that again.
