Had the fish special, it was very good. I asked if it was fresh or imported and was told fresh. Fried to perfection. Would go back for the fish alone.
Wife had the burger and she said it was a little on the greasy side but overall decent food.

I’ve got to tell you — I’m still not entirely sure where I was or if I even liked it. When I pulled up, I was immediately confused. This place feels like four different restaurants all mashed into one. I try not to judge a book by its cover, but this spot really makes it difficult — it’s hard to tell exactly what kind of place it’s trying to be. That said, the two folks running the place were incredibly friendly. They reminded me of someone’s Nana and Papa. I ordered eggs and bacon, and they weren’t bad. They could’ve used a little more salt and pepper, but overall, they were fine. I’m not sure I’ll be back, but I did leave with a full belly — and I’m definitely caught up on Fox News.

Family dinner outing once a week. We’re always eating at home or bring our food home to eat. We’re dining in more to support our local restaurant businesses here in Minden La. The Fish Plate was right on My wife had the Boudin Nacho and our son had the Burger Plate everything was great !!!!

The family and I absolutely loved this place! We got crawfish and the flavor was perfect. Cooked 100% on point. Extremely friendly service especially with children. We live 3 hours away but will definitely be planning a trip back to get this experience again soon! Very thankful we made the stop!

They do NOT sale whole catfish. On the now $14 & up fish plates, you are receiving 2 pieces of catfish fillets that are cut in half to make it appear as 4 pieces of fish. It’s false advertisement and highway robbery. You have been warned twice, once by myself and by another 1-star reviewer here on Google, that I did not see until after the fact. Never again!

As far as folks that are engaging in this town, owner of cafe latte is a nice gentleman who likes to engage his customers. The fried food such as the shrimp is apparently at the perfect temperature of the grease and time period because it is golden brown camera and not greasy. That means it was snap fried. Also the burgers are great and they’re jalapeno bun are the best. Sure some of the folks that have been employee here Tom were sort of rough but we live in the country folks. Still you want to support a conservative business then you come to the right place.

This place is in a major need of a fave lift, but don’t let the outside fool you. The food was INCREDIBlE. The fish was cooked perfectly. The boiled shrimp were big and flavorful. Plus, they peeled just right. The server was sweet as she could be and the owner (I think) gave our kids free watermelon which they thoroughly enjoyed. We truly can’t wait to come back.
