I went to this restaurant twice. The first time my food was amazing. The second time my rice had a small particle from a metal sponge, that looks like something you would clean the dishes with. I had to spit it out to see what the hell I was chewing. I have been vomiting since. The thought alone grossed me out, that this could have been scraping on a dirty pot. I contacted the restaurant and a woman hung up on me multiple times. I’m very disappointed, I wanted to inform them so that this wouldn’t happen to others. Every-time I called, I was hung up on. Please see the photo.

The food was great and plentiful! The staff was incredibly polite and provided fantastic service. If you like this cuisine this is a no trainer.

This was my second time eating here. The first time I came to food was absolutely incredible. Oxtail was seasoned perfectly great depth of flavor , Juicy and tender.
Today was a different story. I can’t tell you how important it is to have recipes and consistency in your food.
Today the oxtail was chewy and rubbery with very little seasoning and extremely dry.
The rice and beans I can only eat two bites as it was extremely salty.
Third time is hopefully a charm

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I had rice and beans with chicken and I loved it. My sister and my very picky eating 7 year old loves it too. Can’t wait to go back. Also, if you stop try the passion fruit drink- it’s delicious.

We had eaten here many times during last two years and even gave benefit of doubt after my partner and I got chicken instead or pernil for first time and we both got food poisoning horribly…my son ate a sandwich w lunch meat and he was fine. It was all we ate that day. We ordered pernil later on amd was fine….but yesterday we went just for some empanadias and dessert…i bit into my tres leches cake and the milk items were spoiled…i nearly puked…my husband opened his rice pudding and it was watery…all went in trash. The empanada was pretty good and fuller than most but thats the last time we ever eat there..well make the trip to PR Rest and bakery in Springfield. Sad that was the case though..staggs always been nice but 26 bucks for spoiled desserts…didnt even ask for refund nor bother to argue…wouldnt matter..spoiled food is a business killer and no trust after 2 bad experiences.

There was some things that could be better but I am so excited to see and eat food I grew up eating that I honestly did not care that much about these details. The food is honestly delicious. Keep going. Keep improving. Some of us are so happy you’re around.

I eat here at least once a week, the rice is delicious, the beans full of flavor, even my son eats with me. The employees absolutely friendly and not afraid of really packing up your plate. Would love to see them grow.

Very good Puerto Rican and Dominican food. I liked the food and it is a great environment within the Holyoke mall. I like their music as well.
I only have one recommendation. Some customers like to be served a lot of food, others want to be careful with their calorie count. Before serving ask the customer how much to serve. A single plate could carry more than 1000 calories, which will easily make the customer gain 1 or 2 pounds the next day. The food is of good quality and people can maintain their weight if they eat half of what is served. Thank you!
