I’ve been to Mexican restaurants before so I was expecting flavor to be present but I was really disappointed overall by this taco bowl because it was flavorless and mushy. It comes with beans, lettuce, sour cream, and some tiny pieces of corn and tomato. Good thing I ordered a side of rice ($3.99) because it’s not very filling otherwise, especially with the steak being flavorless and I’m picking out every other piece. I suggest if you do order the bowl, asking for them to put the beans on the side because the taco shell will be drenched in bean juice and everything becomes mushy and unappetizing otherwise. I can’t speak for the rest of their food because this is my first time, but I don’t see myself coming back after what their kitchen served me.
Chips and salsa are nothing special.
Ordered Taco Birrias mexican style with no cilantro. And 2 taco supreme tacos ground beef.
The tacos were decent. 1 was big and the other had barely any toppings.
The tacos birrias cam with cilantro.
I reminded the server and she took them back, after a few minutes, she returned with some other ones that were covered with onions.
The corn tortillas Were not cooked like birrias are supposed to be and did not have cheese. The corn tortilla when dipped in the soup fell apart and was nasty.
The birria soup had a funky plastic taste.
Dumped out the birrias meat on a plate and ate maybe half.
Would not revisit.

We ordered the elote, which was by far the best elote (Mexican street corn) I ever had. It was full with so much flavor. It made me upset that we ordered only one.
I ordered Al pastor tacos and my lady ordered shrimp tacos. They didn’t have the traditional green and red sauce, they had this mixed dipping sauce. Caution it’s so spicy that you might yell for the waiter to bring you water (light weight I know). My tacos were decent, however when I saw other people’s orders I kind of regretted my order. Lastly, my lady doesn’t eat meat, and her shrimp had pieces of meat on it. Definitely some contamination going on back there. We just wanted to bring that to your attention.
The waitress, she was amazing, coming to our table and making sure we were ok. She was very sweet.
Oh yea, the food came out super fast. The wait wasn’t too long.
The jalapeno poppers + elote were decent, the shrimp chaufa was very good (lots of shrimp!), and the beef enchiladas in red sauce were not good at all. The meat seemed like they had just fried up some ground beef – very plain, no cheese, no seasoning – and stuffed it into the shell. The cheese on top was a few barely melted strands.
They had a great selection of bottled Mexican sodas, along with house made Jamaica and Horchata. And though we didn’t try any, their dessert menu had some very nice options. The dining room was open and airy, with beautiful wood tables and lots of plants. We sat in front of the window, which was actually quite chilly due to the air vent being directly overhead.
We ordered 6 empanadas to take home – 3 chicken+ 3 beef. Heated them up tonight in the air fryer and they were just okay. Very very bland. The dough was pretty thick corn meal, probably a bit too thick. Definitely wouldn’t get them again. Most likely will not be coming back.
We started with the Latina’s sampler. It had stuffed jalepeno peppers, cheese quesadilla, toquitos and empanadas. Everything is homemade and packed with flavor. Definitely not boxed.
For the main course because we are gluttonous slobs, we ordered a chorizo burrito with chicken, chicken quesadilla, fries, shrimp taco, birria taco, and a beer taco. The flavors were mind blowing. I wasn’t a fan of the beef but I think it’s just me since I never like ground beef unless it’s a burger.
The restaurant is super cheerful, clean and they play great music. They are a byob. You supply the tequila and they will sell you the margarita mix. I’m thinking the margarita mix is probably going to be unlike anything I have ever had before. Oh we also got dessert to bring home. Have t eaten that yet because I’m about to fall into a food coma but it is pretty.
This place is close to my house which sucks becomes I’m going never going to lose weight. Totally worth it though, I love Latin food and to find a place that is so authentic, fresh and happy is truly a treat! I highly recommend. Oh and taco Tuesday, buy three tacos get one free!
