Welcome to our family-owned Dominican restaurant, where we share vibrant island flavors for over 30 plus years. Dig into favorites like chicharron de pollo with white or yellow rice and beans, tender pollo guisado, beef stew, oxtail, baked chicken, mangu con los tres golpes, and so much more! Whether you’re dining in or taking out, we’re open every day from 8:30am to 9:30pm. We take catering for your special events, with a required deposit to secure your order. We also have an all-you-can-eat buffet Monday thru Friday from 11:00am to 3:00pm. We take phone orders up until 8:30pm: in-person orders welcome until closing! Although we don’t offer delivery yet, we’re here to bring you a taste of the Dominican Republic with every meal.

I dropped a client off that works in spring valley and she recommended this Latin restaurant. Easy parking, big space and clean bathrooms. I got there at 9 AM so I had breakfast. I had the mango, fried cheese, salami and scrambled eggs for just $8.00 I know what a dope deal right?! Wrong it lacked all the flavor. Mongo needed salt, pepper and adobo. The fried cheese was my favorite park the eggs had a lot of oil and the salami was crunch on 1 side and soft on the other. When I seen the food I was very excited but once I tried it I was very disappointed because I don’t like to waste food and I didn’t finish my food. They gave a lot of onions which I was very happy about but the onions even tasted bad they didn’t soak it in enough vinegar I guess but yeah if your a foodie and know what this meal should taste like I wouldn’t recommend it! The customer service was good and they were very welcoming.. The 3rd picture was everything I didn’t eat smh!

This was my first time having Dominican breakfast and I enjoyed it thoroughly . We ordered Mangu with salami, cheese and eggs. I had to get a take out plate with me because the serving was so much – I love that . I had tamarind juice and my boyfriend got a drink with orange juice mixed with milk and it was amazing. I will definitely be coming back to Latin Star. I highly recommend.

1st time here the food was delicious .I got roast pork and rice my friend he got chicken and yellow rice with beans.They give you a big portion I bought half of it home for a second meal .I was stuffed Nd couldn’t finish it. Was inexpensive .Bill came to 38.00 with our sodas included in the bill.Great service and friendly staff.

Ordered from latin star last night. My order consisted of beef stew with yellow rice, and fried chicken with white rice. The beef was extremely tough and lacked seasoning. The fried chicken was old, I literally just threw up right after eating a few pieces. Will not be going here again.

Food is delicious and affordable. You definitely need to stop by and taste their food if you are in the area. We’re definitely going to be regulars here. Oxtail stew is a must but they have it on Mondays and Fridays only.

Not the same restaurant I used to go to. Everything has changed,including the food. I mean it is Spanish food but the quality has dropped. The environment is not the same live environment it always had. So, it comes down to quality of the food and that has dropped significantly. For great quality Spanish food, I recommend Old San Juan restaurant in New City,NY. I just want your Spanish food experience to be a good.

The food is good. I’ve been buying food there for many years. For the first time I had an issue today. I ordered something and the person repeated my order back to me correctly, but when I picked it up and took my food home, it was the wrong order. When I called back the young lady was very rude and I had to try my best to hold my composure. She actually hung up on me and when I called back I asked for a manager. Finally someone civilized came to the phone and really listened to what I was saying. She was able to fix everything. The owner needs to speak to the staff about customer service. I noticed the owner only replies to nice reviews. You should address even the people with complaints.
