Was very excited to try empanadas here. Only 2 cars in the lot so figured it would be fast. Ordered 4 and waited over an hour to get my food after told it would be 20 mins. I wouldnt have mind if the food was amazing but unfortunately it’s just mediocre. Chicken empanada definitely better than beef but left unsatisfied and still hungry and disappointed. Doubt I’d come back.

Let me tell y’all something my husband and I drove from Massachusetts to this place and it didn’t disappoint. We loved everything and they treat you like family. The portions they give is perfect for a person! We love it and we will be coming back .

Amazing food. Fried pork was so tender and flavorful. Also tried the empanadas. Dough was so flaky. We went late so no pulled pork. Have to go again earlier next time! Definitely going again, and soon!

Let me start by saying the people here were extremely nice, extremely patient, and extremely helpful. I have had very little exposure to this type of food. The spices are different but very flavorful. The empanadillas were really good, the canoa was excellent. The chili was different flavoring from any chili I have ever had but I enjoyed it immensely. There is no indoor seating but it is worth the trip.

It’s a trailer on a corner, so calling it a restaurant is really a reach. You walk up to the window on the side and it smells like actual garbage inside & outside the building. Im not joking, it smells like raw sewage and expired meat, and there are THOUSANDS of flies everywhere. The smell from the entire parking lot, and area around the place, made me nauseous. I lost my appetite and didn’t eat for the rest of the night. I’ve never experienced a smell that foul, that horrid when walking up to an establishment to EAT. & I live 3 blocks away so I know trash was picked up the literally the day before.. I tried to give it a chance but there’s no way in hell.

I called last Thursday to place an order and the lady on the line stated “It will be ready in 15 min” I got to the place 10 minutes later after the time it was suggested. I get there knock on the window she tells me to “hold on”, she finally comes out and states it will be another 5 minutes, I said ok. 20 minutes later she comes out with my food and I stated what happened to 5 minutes? she says” we been busy and everything we cook is fresh” I say don’t tell customers is going to be 5 to 15 minute wait, knowing you are busy. Anyway I get home, and the meat was overcooked and the empanadilla didn’t have cheese like I have suggeted when the order was placed….anyway I’m done with this place, it’s not the first time it has happened, but is definitely my last.

This place is ridiculous, however the portions are very small and definitely not worth the money, had it for the first time and I was not pleased at all. Never again will I give this place my money! Garo’s is so much better and the food they give you like the amount is crazy and it’s fairly priced!
