The location and setting of Latil’s Landing speaks for itself: inside a historic planation house on spectacular grounds. The cuisine itself is fantastic: everything tasted great, the presentations were lovely, and everything was perfectly cooked. Plus, the portion sizes were an appropriate size for a tasting menu. We had a really great meal. The service was perfectly competent, but if you’re spending $125 per person for a multicourse tasting menu (which becomes $175 per person with the wine pairing, which we took and enjoyed) you expect a level of refinement in the service that matches the price tag and the refinement in the meal and the setting—not merely “competent.” That said, we had a great meal and a wonderful evening, and will definitely return.

I enjoyed my visit here. This restaurant is inside the property known as Houmas House. (I think the reviews for this place most likely were posted on there as Latil’s Landing is just one of the several restaurants they have in the property.) The host was friendly and sat us immediately. They have a buffet, but you can also order from their menu. Our server was friendly and attentive. For beverages, their coffee was really good; the sweet tea is good as well. The food was deliciously cooked, from the appetizer to the dessert. I truly enjoyed their étouffée. And you will like the fact that the cooking style is not salty nor too spicy. It’s just perfect for enjoyment. The only challenge was getting to the restaurant, but it was also part of the fun as you have to walk through the beautiful gardens to get there.

Multi course fine dining. Delicious and interesting food. A great high end date night location. Parking is at the museum, walk into the gift shop for directions to the restaurant.

We enjoyed a great dinner in this beautiful historic setting. The food was good (traditional and well prepared but not exceptional), service was excellent. We made the mistake of ordering the 5 course sampling menu and I could not finish half of my entree and dessert, the portions are way too large for such sampling menu.
We would eat there again though, just to enjoy the setting.

We stopped there after going to see the bonfires that will be burned on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays and everyone was very friendly. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Oh my goodness!
We had a choice from our tour guide (Tours by Isabella) and I wanted the burger, but assumed it would be a cheap burger and be disappointed.
Then I saw it being served. I wanted to change my order. It looked devine!
However, my plate I went with did not disappoint. So yummy! And my bread pudding…just scrumptious!

A feast for all of your senses! This is a beautiful place to visit and experience the history of the Old South. The current owner has added to the experience with superb accommodations and three award winning restaurants. The grounds and gardens are immaculately maintained. The gift shop is filled with many unique treasures at affordable prices. If you are visiting New Orleans, you owe it to yourself to visit!!

This place has (or used to have) one of my two absolutely favorite meals in the entire world. It’s the EGGPLANT NAPOLEON WITH CRABMEAT. It looks from the menu that Houmas House (the business who owns this restaurant) recently removed this item from the menu and moved it to their sister restaurant, the Carriage House. Nevertheless, unique experience, and I’d give both of these restaurants 6 stars if I could.
