The first time I tried the pizza several months ago, I was definitely not a fan, the dough was thick and doughy, no bite and way over sauced, overall, a messy pizza.
In steps Mike to help his dad get the business on its feet and it certainly is a complete turnaround for the better. Today my wife and I tried slices of the white pizza with tomato and broccoli, pepperoni, and finally barbeque chicken. WOW, what a treat, the dough was perfect, a little flop, but crispy with a great chew and the back end had just the right amount of char from the wood fired oven. TOP SLICES right here. I went back and grabbed some meatballs for dinner man, they were great.
SO, if your over by Galleria 7, on Route 7, make sure to stop in and see the team at Latham Wood Fired Pizza. On the 1 to 10 Portnoy Pizza scale, were giving this a 7.9.

The pizza was delicious outstanding, we are big pizza fans and it was delicious!! We had chicken wings by 14 year old said probably one of the best ones his had!! The crust of the pizza was amazing

The best crust (dough) I have had in the capital region. And that says a lot because I make mine from scratch using poolish–and make pizza on my grill and Breville. My daughter wanted the bbq chicken–which is not my favorite. It was very good if that is your thing! We will be going back soon for sure. Love the outdoor seating and Galleria 7 has a great vibe.

The pizza was very good, nice dough / crust – and you know you can’t make a good pizza without an excellent crust – this had a nice crisp & still a good spring & chew to it. Nicely done.
The service counter guy and the owner (I think) behind the counter were really nice. I do have a significant reservation though, the two slices were crazy expensive, even the one plain slice. I’m sure the rent/costs in this food court area is quite high though I don’t think I want to pay that much for pizza, and I noticed the pies were pricey too. This is very good, though it ain’t world class “New Haven Apizza” after all.
Unless I missed it there is no signage for this business out front, though there is a beehive of activity along the strip of stores where this is located. It’s located with a number of other food vendors in a food court kind of setting. Pretty nice food emporium altogether, just got to know where to look for this, or any of the other food services in this spot.

We had a cheese pizza right out of the wood fired oven and were thoroughly impressed with it. The flavor was excellent . I was happy that it had plenty of delicious sauce on it. The cheese was not greasy which is often the case when ordering restaurant pizza. We took another gluten free mushroom pizza home for a family member and they enjoyed it immensely! We will be back to Latham Wood Fired Pizza again!!

Unfortunately I ordered online and when I arrived they never received the order (or hadn’t started, not sure). They were able to quickly make it though and only had to wait ~5 minutes for food.

I’m not usually a fan of thin crust pizza, but it’s the best i’ve had in the area. Crust was incredible, cheese browned just right.
