Had a fabulous experience at Last Chair Kitchen. The service was fantastic, my burger was to die for and we had a cure window seat to watch the world go by. Prices were very fair. If im in Whitefish again, will be my 1st stop.

We had driven by this restaurant several times on our way from Whitefish up to where we were staying on Whitefish Mountain and finally decided to try it last night – so glad we did! The food was amazing and service was excellent. We had the Mezze Plate as an appetizer- everything was delicious and the flavors worked together perfectly. For entrees we had the Indian platter, the Goody Bowl with grilled chicken, the Walleye Sandwich with tater tots and the Hearty Salad with grilled chicken – we all loved what we ordered. Highly recommend The Last Chair for its excellent food and warm atmosphere!

Fantastic experience. Trout with the cauliflower whatever was outstanding. Green beans on the side were cold but I was too busy with the fish to care much. Beignets were very good (NOLA native here). Soup was solid.
Service was incredible. I interacted with probably 7 different people and they were all some of the most engaged restaurant workers I’ve encountered since the pandemic. It really felt like I was family (in the good, nice way).
The restaurant was full of charm.

Heard about this place from Mountain Moss Inn owner and we went last minute without reservations. We came in at 5:45 and it wasn’t too busy yet and the host was very helpful. We we’re seated inside and our server Katie recommended the trout and Indian Platter—both excellent! We started with the spinach salad and it was fresh and delicious. We finished with desserts—beignets with huckleberry sauce and the chocolate bread pudding, which we both loved! Interior has a very cool rustic vibe and service was wonderful!

My husband and I found this restaurant and what a gem it turned out to be. Nice decor, clean and the staff was friendly and its easy to find. My husband ordered the Ribeye Steak with Risotto and potatoes, he thought it was very good. I had the macadamia crusted Trout. It was soooo good. I also had potatoes and asparagus. We had their Chocolate Love Ice Cream which was very good.

She made the whole experience feel special with great recommendations, perfect timing, and genuinely warm service. What a wonderful dining experience! This was our first time at The Last Chair, and if we were local it wouldn’t be the last. The menu isn’t extensive, but it certainly doesn’t need to be with the variety and the amazing quality of the food. They do have plenty of options for everyone from the starters, sandwiches, and full entrees. They also have an large wine selection. We ordered the fish dinner and the yak burrito. EXCELLENT! Great job, chef! The service was also amazing! Personal, attentive, and responsive! Really can’t say enough good things about our experience at The Last Chair!

This place was amazing! The food was so healthy & delicious. They had a lot of local options like ice cream from sweet peaks (and then we went to sweet peaks which was amazing) and locally sourced ingredients. I loved that I could get a spaghetti squash dish while I was eating out, as eating enough veggies is important to me. Dessert was also important to me – and that was also amazing! They put a side of huckleberry lemon curd with my creme brûlée and it was amazing. The sweet peaks huckleberry ice cream on the brownie was exactly what we hoped. Perfect place to celebrate my new job!

We recently stayed in Whitefish for a wedding planning trip and stumbled upon this restaurant on google. We had the bison ragu and beignets with huckleberry sauce, and we added huckleberry ice cream. The bison ragu was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the beignets. The huckleberry sauce added a delightful tang that complemented the dish beautifully. While my friend felt the sauce was unnecessary, I absolutely loved it and thought it brought everything together. The huckleberry ice cream was the perfect finishing touch, adding a creamy and refreshing element to the meal. We also tried the Caesar salad, which was crisp and fresh with a deliciously tangy dressing. Our waitress was also calm and inviting, and despite being busy, she took the time to talk with us and share how thankful she was for our service. She mentioned that our patience made a difference during her busy night. This level of attentiveness and accommodation made it a welcoming place for families with children.
