While visiting Orcas Island, we were thrilled to find chef Dante’s new restaurant Lascaux next to the Olga Artworks Gallery. Don’t miss this place for breakfast or lunch!
The food was creative and excellent and our bagel breakfasts with fresh tomatoes and salmon were so delicate and memorable.
We came here 2 days in a row and will be back on our next visit!

Orcas Island is lucky to have such a delicious and charming café as Lascaux Café! Every time I dine here I leave happy – whether it’s one of their yummy sandwiches, pizzas, or soups. Dante’s baked goods are always tasty, and you can often find great day-old treats too. Olga is truly lucky to have such an amazing food option on this side of the island. ☕

Quaint little restaurant. Asked the Chef/Owner his recommendation between a couple items. He steered me towards the pulled pork sandwich. It was fantastic. The aiole was delicious paired with the pork. Refreshing with the arugula, thin red onion, and tomato. I will come back next time I’m back on the island. Do not hesitate stopping in. I will be trying the tomato soup next time as it smelt great!

Lascaux is a hidden gem on Orcas Island. I’ve never been disappointed and today was no exception. The bacon and Brussels sprouts flatbread pizza was amazing. And since I couldn’t decide between the apple cake and berry pie, I had both. Delicious! The service was friendly and efficient and it’s hard to beat the charm of the location. Definitely worth the drive to Olga!

If you’re in Olga, don’t miss Lascaux Cafe! Their brioche doughnuts are absolutely yummy, and the chocolate tart is simply divine. Plus, their beef sandwich hits the spot. And to top it off, the chef/owner is incredibly helpful. Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely delicious! Locally sourced ingredients! The rhubarb pie was my favorite but everything was outstanding. This is a small cafe attached to an art gallery. The chef runs the whole cafe by himself. This is a must stop if you visit Orcas Island.

Ratatouille was so flavorful and delicious! Pulled pork sandwich was amazing, too! Can’t wait to come back. The best branch spot on the island!!

I can’t recommend this place enough. We had a fantastic lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Both the pulled pork and salami provolone sandwiches were excellent. The bread is great, thoughtfully added toppings, and the side potato salad was excellent. Finishing with the chocolate/pecan tart was a perfect cap on the meal.
How one person is handling all the duties solo is mind boggling. But, keep that in mind also, you should expect your food to come out in a jiffy, though our wait wasn’t all that long either. If you’ve got the time to relax, this is a perfect stop.

I had the pulled pork and salad. Both were really good. You order and pick up at the counter. We’ll go back.

Delightful spot from the former Roses chefs in the former Catkin Cafe space. Their dishes are surprisingly ambitious (for such a small operation) and well-prepared. We’re so happy that the English pea hummus sandwich has been carried over from Roses — though a serrano ham add-on option as Roses used to have would be even better!
