I like Mexican food and Mexican restaurants. At the entrance they had posted two specials. I choose the chicken, steak, shrimp and scallop fajitas. I received very nice chips and salsa upon sitting down and received my sizzling meal in less than ten minutes. The sizzling plate was very impressive and generous; grilled onions, peppers, chicken, steak and shrimp covered with scallops. Also two side dishes with tortillas, rice, beans and salad. This is among the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant.

I drove by several times before I decided to try it. Actually, the pleasant surprise was the very fair prices of food and the generous serving sizes. If you want to be filled up without breaking your budget, try this place! A friendly staff, and quick service, extensive menu, all that should give you more reasons to stop in and give it a try.

My wife and me go to this restaurant when we go to Gloucester, VA.
First off this place should have more people eating here. It’s got some of the best service, very polite and family oriented.
The owner of the restaurant makes the tamales herself! I am a firm believer if a place can feed me and not try to rush me out the door it works for me.
I hope if your ever in Gloucester, VA…recommend stop by and check out this place. I have ate at most of the Mexican restaurants in the area and this one is the only one that doesn’t make angry because they actually make real Mexican food.

When ordering Mexican food for pick-up at local restaurants I normally order chicken, cheese and rice. Las Tunas puts grilled onions and mushrooms in theirs. This was the fist time I’ve had it this way, and it is beyond delicious.

Very clean restaurant with plenary of seating. The service is always fast. Food is fresh. Staff is very friendly. Literally takes longer to drive thru somewhere than it takes to get a meal from here. The portions are generous. When we’ve made special requests they are always very accommodating. The little ones love queso however they don’t like spicy foods. Las Tunas always makes sure that that the children have exactly what they want.
