If you want good food go were the workers go for lunch. This restaurant is delicious. They actually give you the right amount of tortillas unlike many other restaurants that only give you two tortillas. The food is cooked in away that taste like it was made in someone’s home kitchen. Like once a week or month or quarter we would use the dining space for a tamale making class. So test kitchen originally was we didn’t know how much work it would be. If one person and like six students and $75 a person or like 8 or 12 people and it was nicer at $110 each with drinks and snacks of other classes. Or if we did it like traditional style with working stations and only kike $55 or $65 and you got a half dozen tamales at the conclusion. Or like we made one tamale while the teacher showed us sitting facing the person at a bar high seating and the teacher helped us before we went to the next step and we got six brand new ones at the end and stacked on the one we made and got unlimited foundation drinks, $65 and dynamic pricing could be as reasonable as $35. Average price is like $42 a class. That was the test kitchen concept, like we didn’t have a certain concept of how we sought to do the scientific teaching class as it was a different and new concept.
Adorable the way it is. Cozy upscale resturant in a quick stop. The food that is nicely done from scratch is good pretty much everywhere. I happen to like this one more than others. I also like that isnt not very busy. Just a casual amount the nicely done that is a calm environment, when I’m not there. I always like shopping the edited sundries as it reminds me of basics of decent basic and the collection is nicely edited to things I also would enjoy without all the extra considerations for other or extra. Possibly not for everyone but one of my favorites.

Las Palomas is one of my go-to spots in Gainesville. I eat here often since it’s close to home, and the food is always on point. Their menudo is some of the best I’ve had—rich, flavorful, and perfect on the weekends. The tacos are also incredible—fresh tortillas, flavorful meats like asada and birria, and all the right toppings. Everything tastes authentic and homemade. The staff is friendly, service is fast, and I always leave satisfied. If you’re looking for legit Mexican food in Gainesville, this is the place.
