Las Palmas has quickly become a favorite of mine. My girlfriend and I came here after a long day of moving into Uptown Dallas and have been hooked ever since. The chips and queso blanco is a must order. It’s addicting with just the right amount of spice from jalapeños. For entrees, I’ve enjoyed the red snapper tacos, birria brisket tacos, chicken tinga tacos, brisket enchiladas, and tacos al carbón with Wagyu. The drinks are great too, I like the house margarita and mezcal Negroni. They have a pristine selection of liquor, especially tequila. Service is consistent and polite, I’ve never ran out of chips and salsa or been hungry waiting for my food. The atmosphere inside is dark and moody, good for a date night. Highly recommend.

Wow wow wow. Loved this place. I was worried it was hyped up for nothing but nope, this place deserves the hype. Their wagyu fajitas literally melt in your mouth. The queso is ehhh in my opinion, the green salsa though? DELICIOUS and included with the chips. The guacamole is also nothing to brag about. The drinks are very strong and consistent. Those bartenders know what they’re doing! Every single employee that I’ve encountered here from the bar to dine in sitting and even the host stand has been helpful. Service is top notch. The atmosphere is nice as well, especially late in the evening when the dinner rush has ended. Parking was easy to find considering the location. This is a great place to visit if you enjoy tex mex food, but not a “must visit” Dallas restaurant.

I’ve wanted to visit Las Palmas in Dallas for over a year and finally made it over the weekend and it was well worth the wait. The ambiance was great, and the food was even better. The chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve had in a long time, and the taquitos were super flavorful. Be sure to ask about the off menu Chicken Caesar Wrap. Big enough for two!

Our server lacked in several areas and seemed overwhelmed, but Junior (I believe that was his name) stepped in and took great care of us even though we weren’t in his section, it was done without us asking. On our return visit, I’ll definitely be requesting him.

Overall, I’d give this place 4.5 stars and would absolutely come back.

Great drink and delicious eats. The house margaritas were very tasty and affordable. They have a tequila menu that I enjoyed perusing until I found what called my pallet the most. The wife had the red snapper and totally devoured her meal, lol. I got the #3 platter and was amazed at the flavor profiles and freshness of the ingredients. Environment was lively and filled with conversation. Will definitely return.

Long wait, hack is to put your name down go home and change and come back in an hour. The service was excellent, these waiters have eyes in the back of their heads when they can sense you’re low on chips and refill you quickly. Food was great, plenty of options just pricy. Recommend valet instead of paid parking lot which was $20. Great place to hang with friends or family.

Las Palmas is amazing! My fiancé Larry and I are new to the area, and this is now our favorite Tex-Mex spot in Uptown. When we first walked in, it was a little dark and we didn’t see that the bar wrapped around. Luis noticed us right away, said hi, and invited us to the other side of the bar where he had two seats ready for us. That made us feel so welcome.

Luis took time to talk with us and explain the menu, and our bartender Soji was fantastic. We enjoyed the 2–6 happy hour and had a skinny margarita and an El Diablo—so good!

We usually order fajitas, but we tried the #4 Barbara combo instead. Wow! The taco, sour cream enchilada, and chili con carne enchilada were all delicious. The chips and hot sauce were on point too.

We are so happy to have Las Palmas within walking distance. If you’re in Uptown, you have to check this place out!

Amazing from the start. They said it would be a 45 minute wait but had us at a table in 20 minutes. The dim lighting made the space feel so cozy. The service was great, although I’m sure she kept coming back often to listen to the drama we were speaking ( I would be too). The NY sour was THE drink and everything we had ordered was a 10/10. The wagyu for the fajitas was cooked to perfection. I normally hate driving into Dallas, but this place would convince me to come back.

Last minute pivot to Las Palmas Tex-Mex for lunch on a Sunday and we weren’t disappointed. Inside, it’s dark, moody, and full of that old-school Tex-Mex vibe that makes you want to settle in, order a cocktail or margarita, and stay awhile.

We started with the queso, and it set the tone right away, warm, creamy, and exactly what queso ought to be. The birria beef tacos were rich and flavorful, with tender meat that tasted like it had been simmering all morning. Messy in the best way.

The burger was a pleasant surprise. You don’t always expect a standout burger at a Tex-Mex spot, but this one held its own, juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The fajitas had good steak and big shrimps. The red snapper tacos were also a hit.

Las Palmas feels like the kind of place folks have been coming to for years and for good reason. It’s lively, a little loud, full of character, and serves Tex-Mex that knows exactly what it’s supposed to be.

My partner wanted to surprise me with a romantic lunch. Somewhere new, nice, and honestly price was not an issue. He sent me the amazing Google reviews and as Mexican as I am- I was speechless on the delivery of the experience. From Luis our amazing Waiter, to one of their managers (forgot her name) – everyone was attentive, we never waited for Luis or had once single complaint from any of the staff helping refill, pick up plates. My partner had the wagyu fajitas which he loved. BUT I am the one in surprise mode when I decide to get fish, I don’t eat fish, has never been in my food palate. However, I decided to try the red snapper, and OH EM GEEEE I LOVED EVERY SINGLE BITE. I was so obsessed with the flavor, soft flakiness, the skin crunch, the sauce around it that I totally forgot I had rice and beans. The ambience is so low lighting inside and I’m here for it when it comes to romantic lunch or dinner. They do have patio seating as well.

I truly feel this is a place to enjoy and we will definitely be back!

PS.
Try their Sopapilla cheesecake with an ice cream scoop, take it in with their espresso. Chef’s kiss to the ending of our romantic lunch.

We went in for dinner but due to the wait time we decided to start with some drinks at the bar. We were able to get seating at the bar and dine there.

The food was really tasty and the pottions are big enough to share among 2-3 people. The drinks were also fantastic so its a 100% recommended spot!

The bartenders were super attentive and really nice and the decor of the place is really vibrant and fun. A must go spot !
