Stopped here by accident. Decent meal. Isabel was out server…she was excellent and offe red many suggestions on the menu. She was super busy…however there were 4 young individuals standing at the front door who could have helped clean up tables or helped the other servers. We didn’t get our salads…but after pointing it out we didn’t have to pay for them. We recieved little bread pieces w a few sauces, they were all good. I had a margarita special…delicious! My Cuban sandwich was decent.. My husband had some kind of thing steak w onions. His was way over done and kind of stringy, however We would definitely stop if we were in town again.

We ate here a couple of times already and since we liked what we ordered, we always repeat the same: Cuban Tapas Platter and Pernil Assado. I assume everything is very good. Maybe we will try something different next time. Today we had Isabel as our server. Very pleasant and attentive. The service was quick. Since we arrived before noon, I had the oportunity to take pictures of the place, before the crowd arrived. Very good food and ambiance! Highly recommended ✨

We were actually headed to another restaurant but the vibe of this place the music just mesmerized us and we ended up eating here and it did not disappoint. Our server was so nice and attentive. The sangria is definitely a must try here they say it’s the best in town and I agree! The food we had was delicious packed with flavor and so much portions you will definitely have leftovers. I had the fried palomilla steak and it was as big as the plate and could have fed 4! The atmosphere was great. We will come back when we are in town.

Las Palmas is a wonderful Cuban restaurant in Mount Dora. They offer 2 for 1 Margaritas and Mojitos that are very tasty. They also have many other cocktails. On our visit my wife enjoyed their Mojitos, and I had a Rum Runner. For our entrees my wife ordered the Filete a la Plancha, and I ordered the Bistec Emapanizado. The portions were gigantic and yet very reasonably priced. Let me tell you the food was delicious. The staff is very friendly. I know that my wife and I will be going back to this restaurant again when we go to Mount Dora.

I’ve been looking for some real authentic Cuban food since I moved here in 2006. Took me a few years to find it but oye this is as close to eating in Hialeah as you’re going to get. Try the Vaca Frita or bistec empalizado… TRUST ME. And you can’t leave without trying a fan.

There is an abundance of seating inside and outside this establishment. I chose the outdoors, and quickly regretted it on this cold day. There were no space heaters and the metal chair kept me feeling pretty cold throughout my stay. That makes me wonder how hot these chairs get in normal Florida sun.

We stopped in today Sunday it was busy but we sat down pretty fast. Waited about 10 minutes for our server. Ordered pork sandwich Avocado salad & maraquitas ehhhhh to it all won’t be back.

The mojitos were bogo smooth and delicious. I recommend the blackberry/blood orange. I ordered the churrasco steak with arroz con gandules, black beans, and tostones. Phenomenal dish cooked and seasoned to perfection. It literally made me wonder why we have not been here before today. My beloved ordered marsitas de puerco al ajillo, which is chunks of pork with grilled onions arroz con gandules (pigeon peas with rice) and fried plantains. Lunch was incredible, and we will we be back soon. My wife wondered out loud if we had driven to Miami. The food was that good.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was seated immediately. Plenty of seating inside and outside on the sidewalk. Our waiter arrived right away and was very attentive during our meal. The food was hot and delicious and the portions were large. We loved the fried bread they brought before our meal and the different dipping sauces for it. Highly recommend!

Food was very good. Had Mofongo with ropa vieja. Ropa vieja could be better seasoned but not bad at all. My wife got the churrasco and that was very good as well. The garlic bread they bring before the meal is exceptional! Service was excellent as well. Great place to go in Mt Dora.
