Las Palmas always seems to be busy, so we finally decided to give it a try. We started with the Cuban Tapas Platter, which included an empanada, papa rellena, tamal cubano, croquetas, yuca rellena, and yuca frita. It was a great sampler and a nice way to try a variety of flavors.
The draft beer was unavailable during our visit, so we ordered Palma Cuban canned beer instead, and it paired well with the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Garlic Cuban sandwich with ham, pork, Swiss, mustard, pickles, and garlic olive oil. It was flavorful and satisfying. My wife had the Masitas de Puerco al Ajillo, tender pork chunks finished in garlic olive oil and topped with grilled onions, and she really enjoyed it.
We finished with two espressos, which was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was lively, and we highly recommend it.

Was told to come back in 15 minutes to get seated. Ok, no problem. Went back only to be told 15 more minutes. Sure thing. We get sat. We began to order Mac and Cheese with fries, Chicken Tenders with Fries, and we split a Garlic Cuban sandwich. Which, is what they are known for. My 16 year old got her tenders early as a kids menu item. We ordered the adult but whatever. They were the worst looking tenders ever. They mirrored calamari, but after pulling one apart it was chicken. My daughter began to eat. The rest of the food arrived. Our onion rings with the sandwich were deep fried in minimum, 14 day old fryer oil. Tasted and looked like it. The cuban sandwich tasted old, and it had no mustard on it. I proceeded to go get mustard from the bartender, who was our server, and my wife showed me the aluminum foil that was stuck on the back inside. I am now not happy. I picked up one of my daughters 3 squirrelly tenders, tore it apart, and it had plastic wrap still on the chicken on the inside. Gross. It made us sick to our stomachs. I proceeded to give this to our server, poor gal, not her fault, but she missed the service mark by not being attentive to what we ordered. Not good people. Not good. We will not show our food pictures as they are THAT bad.

While visiting with my family we all decided to give this little Cafe a try. Well, it was a good idea. The menu offers a fusion of Caribbean and Latino favorites. It made it great because we had a lot to choose from. I had the Fajitas Pollo which was excellent. My family were fighting over the “Tostones” which was great. They have a good variety of beers and Mix Drinks. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a Latin flavor.

Very cool restaurant with rich quality food. I knew the food was going to be good based on how busy it was. A busy restaurant equals great food! My dish was flavorful.

Food is good and Mt. Dora offers atmosphere beyond. The restaurant itself has outdoor seating, which I lived becayse the streets are filled with people and fun, quirky shops. After you eat, walk down to the docks and watch a beautiful sunset. A tasty Cuban dinner turns into an experience. Worth your time and money.

Outstanding Cuban restaurant. The Red Sangria was some of the best we ever drank.
Great pork with red and black beans.

A nice, casual cuban restaurant in downtown Mount Dora. If you want tasty, homemade food, this is the place. The Mariquitas, very thin, fried green plantains are fantastic. We had a good, hearty lunch for about $12-16 per person. Servings are generous. Service was good.

Camilo was our server and it was our first time here. The food was fantastic and it was in the middle of the cute area of town.
I had the steak palomass and with the garlic sauce and bread with the meal, it was winder to eat authentic Cuban food.
Great service and food.

We waited an hour for the dishes, but they didn’t arrive together. We received three discounted dishes because their cooking and preparation were not adequate. It’s not the first time we’ve visited this place, but we’re sure it’s the last.
* *Ahahaha, how nice your response is—so sarcastic and defensive. [Hopefully, people aren’t as unforgiving to you!] Quite passive-aggressive. Instead of taking responsibility and trying to improve a terrible experience, your ironic response could hurt your restaurant more **
Definitely NEVER AGAIN
