We had a fabulous time and we enjoyed our meal very much. The staff was delightful and atmosphere was spot on. Yes, thr birria tacos are delicious, as well as the chalupa and the David’s meal. The rice is superb!! We loved it and will be back!!

I’ve heard a lot of negative reviews about this restaurant. That is why I’ve never been here. Tonight I came in and ordered mine to go and let me tell you…. Absolutely delicious! This is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to that I couldn’t finish my food because I was absolutely stuffed. The Birria tacos were fantastic. My girlfriend had the Enchiladas, shrimp and fajita dinner. She couldn’t finish hers either. We will definitely be back again.

This place needs shut down & investigated by food safety.. I’m usually pretty forgiving with my meals and service being slow but this was unacceptable. We ended up having to seat ourselves after waiting for a couple min with no line or acknowledgement from anyone. My food finally arrives and is cold and clearly sat for awhile then served not to mention absolutely not matching the price. The ingredients looked to be made from a frozen bag you’d get from the dollar store. I told the waitress I wasn’t paying for my meal & eventually a manager briefly shows up and says she’ll remove the ribeye. Whatever I’ll take what I can get I’m not gonna make a scene. The only thing half decent were the chips, salsa & queso.. granted it’s pretty difficult to mess that up. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone. I mostly feel sorry the the wait staff having to put up with unhappy customers as it seems pretty common..

Love this restaurant. Has a great menu allot of my new favorite foods. Can’t wait to try them all. The staff and owner always make us feel like family. Best part OSs the portion sizes. I get to eat it twice typically

Been coming here with a big group for awhile now. I really enjoy their Birria Tacos. They also make their tortillas fresh. The atmosphere is great, very beautiful artwork on the tables and chairs. It’s also quite affordable.

This place is shut down now, at least I hope it is. I was told it was. MOST of the “good” reviews you will see here were paid advertising, we discovered. THEY ARE FAKE. The staff is mostly young and they are wonderful. They were not at all the issue. They were doing their best. Unfortunately, the owner, not so much. She verbally abuses them which we found out from a friend. If you don’t like your meal, you still have to pay for it, even if you didn’t eat it. The pricing doesn’t match what you get AT ALL. In fact, we felt like we got scammed. The food looks, smells, and tastes like something I would attempt to make at home and heat it up in a microwave. I even recognized the ingredients in my meal (cheap). They do not use authentic Mexican ingredients, and instead use cheap American counterfeits pieced together to look decent until you cut into it. All cheese is watered down and all meals are lacking in any sort of flavor. My family’s experience will never be forgotten and I wish we could. I ate my meal only because I was starving. My brother in law ordered something with chicken, cheese, and spinach inside. If you see a review that says “Looked, smelled, and tasted like garbage,” that’s my brother in law as we were both there at the same time. He picked at it and was revolted. The chicken was canned. The spinach wasn’t even cooked, and the cheese was watered down inside half-cooked wet and sloppy tortillas. It looked and smelled awful. The only good food (if considered) was the universal Mexican refried beans and rice. When he told our waiter (a teenager) he didn’t want it and said it was inedible, the owner refused to refund him. In fact, she wouldn’t even show her face. Instead, when we asked for the manager, she sent out another young man to pose as her. After a very off putting argument, they agreed to give us half off, but could not issue a full refund. Not joking, this meal he got was around $14 after tax. When we asked why, they proceeded to accuse my brother in law of consuming the meal. We (a group of 7 who had watched him) told them that he had barely swallowed a forkful, and had simply picked it apart. The two young men looked as if they were fearing for their jobs and what they were telling us was forced upon them by the owner. They were just messengers getting shot. At last, the young waiter said that he would pay the half refund and we were able to leave. Needless to say, we did not look back and the next time our family drove past that forsaken place, it looked like it had been shut down. We also discovered that this is not the first time the owner of this place has been shut down for the same issues. Apparently, she has a record. She is notorious for cheating people out of their money and making her staff and sometimes the customers miserable; and her restaurant has closed and relocated about 3 times. She has problems. If you’re looking for good Mexican food in Mannford, Papa Chuys is literally your only option and they are GOOD. I really hope those 2 young men got better jobs. They did nothing wrong and were excellent staff whose talents will be put to good use elsewhere; somewhere their employers are kind to them. God bless em.

1st visit here. We had to look for someone to seat us after waiting for several minutes. Lots of tables needed Tending to and cleaned up. Waitress took our drink order and food order. Everything came out great and is probably 1 of the best Mexican restaurant meals we’ve had. We waited 20 + minutes for our check, and another 20 + minutes for boxes to take our leftovers. Food was A++, service not so much.

We have been coming here since opening night.. which was a little rough, but to be expected.. Repeat customers of at least twice a month, and have had nothing short of a great experience every time. Introduced some friends to eating there – “we’ve heard it wasn’t good”… They learned first hand it is good!

My mom took me to a new Mexican restaurant there in Mannford off Highway 51 and 48 and I’ll have to say it was delicious. I forgot to take a picture of my meal at the beginning, but I got the birrera tacos with Consume and it was delicious. I will definitely go back
