The food was okay. The steak was overcooked, the rest was nothing memorable. The rice was dry. The beans and guac were good.

My son did not finish the quesadilla. Really not much to it. I would go somewhere else if I had the choice.

Very hit or miss. Sometimes everything is really good and sometimes it can be bad. The salsa never tastes the same. Some days it’s good some days it tastes like canned tomatoes and chiles. I ordered the chicken fajitas with extra chicken and my gf had fajitas with steak and chicken and she had way more meat than my extra chicken order. The inconsistency is wild! Service is excellent though.

Love this place. It’s become one of our favorite spots to eat. They have a wonderful selection of menu items. The steak tampiqeuña, huevos rancheros are a fan favorite. The service is impecable, Maria is our favorite waitress “and none for her” when bringing the bill. The restaurant has been a staple for the city of Thornton for many years. It could use an uplift, as the lighting, booth benches and table top are showing their age but that won’t stop anymore from eating here.

Las Palmas is a fairly small no frills Mexican restaurant located in an older strip mall. We were greeted by a friendly host and seated right away in the bar area where we prefer. The bar has 8 stools and all were available.
Started with chips and salsa, and house margaritas. The chips were crispy and salsa had a nice heat. The margaritas were tasty and potent.
For dinner on our first night we ordered the stuffed sopapilla and carnitas burrito, both were delicious. On a second night we had the #11 combo that included a tasty Chicharrones burrito, Beef Taco, Bean Tostada, and Tamale. Both nights were pleasant experiences and Las Palmas will be our go to spot for local Mexican food.
Parking is shared by other stores, so you may not find a spot near the restaurant front door

Decided to try these guys tonight. Went in about 730 on a Saturday night. Wasn’t very busy. The main dining area was clean and cozy. The young man who took my order at the register was very friendly and welcoming. He
said it was his last day, though. I ordered 3 items. The mini rellano appetizer, combination nachos and vegetable fajitas. The rellanos came with a side of green chili. Vegetarian I’m
pretty sure, there was no noticeable meat. The taste was good. It’s not spicy but had a decent flavor. The rellanos alone were pretty good. Nice and simple. The nachos were the star of the meal. They came with chicken and beef and all the fixings. The guacamole is very good! Taste delicious and fresh! Good avacado flavor! Decent portion for a decent price. The fajitas were a huge let down. I got the vegetable fajita, and they were literally barely seasoned green bell peppers and onions only. Far cry from the vegetable medley I’m used to from other places near buy. They were a little overcooked and pretty bland. The beans and rice that came with it were pretty good, though. Definitely made the meal better! One thing that was VERY GOOD was the chips and salsa. The salsa was
very flavorful and fresh! Good flavor, good spice. Overall, I’m not sure I would go back, there are too many better selections near buy.

Husband and I both had breakfast plates. My skillet potatoes were really greasy, but everything else was good.
Guac was excellent!

Just when I thought I had found a really good Mexican restaurant, I walked toward the restroom and right there in plane view I saw a full pot of beans sitting directly on the floor. Wasn’t an empty pot but a pot FULL of beans. I tried to wrap my head around why anyone would think this was remotely okay, but there’s simply no excuse for it. It’s completely unsanitary. I really loved this place too.

I will not be returning, and I feel people should be aware that this is happening in a restaurant they may be considering eating at.

Crowded. Nowhere to wait indoors. My chilli wasn’t spicy as I requested, but it was still good. The Horchata tastes like something instant. Still ok.

Great food here. The staff is friendly and ready to make you feel at home. The eggs and chorizo are fantastic and no matter how busy they are, the wait is usually slim to none.
