We ate lunch on the 4th of July at Las Montanas in Downtown Aspen and had a fabulous time. We showed up a little late to the reservation, but the front of the house was great at still accommodating us. The Mexican food here was spectacular. We all loved our meals, including the ice cream at the end. Needless to say, we will definitely be back. The whole experience was outstanding.

Mexican food is great and the service is wonderful. The location is perfect. The best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The margaritas are too good. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was wonderful. Our waiter was attentive and professional, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. The location was perfect – it was close to all of the attractions you would want to see, and it had stunning views of the city and mountains. Nice waiter. Calamari had 4 pieces of calamari the rest was peppers. We ordered beef enchiladas. They were deep fried (and burned) with no flavor. We also ordered the chicken enchiladas which were… average at best. I would skip this place. High price points for mediocre food. I feel bad taking the time to leave a review but if you’ve only got a handful of meals in Aspen, this shouldn’t be one of them.

The food was very good. The service was terrible. When you have to flag your waiter down to order, to get refills, to get a check… that’s not acceptable, and it wasn’t even crowded. The food was good enough to earn another visit, but my wife & I decided the service was so bad, we don’t want to take a chance on it.

Service was a little slown for 3pm when it wasn’t crowded, but the food was great! We tried to eat here 2 nights ago but it was reservations only. Today we walked in for “happy hour” menu options since we were between meals. The shrimp coconut ceviche was delicious! Small portion for $27(?) but I enjoyed every bite! Others got the steak tacos and the steak was delicious! Chicken cahalupas were spicy but also got 2 thumbs up. If you wanna try this place and save some money, try 3-5pm for happy hour! Free chips and salsa that might be the best I’ve ever had!

Had a reservation, arrived and we were seated immediately, sat at our table for 20 minutes without ever being approached by a single member of the staff. The place was mostly empty and multiple staff walked within a foot of our table and didn’t bother acknowledging us. We finally gave up and left.

Delicious! Excellent queso appetizer. Chicken fajitas were great and all the sides with it were very good. Nice place with a great atmosphere. Very good service too. Looking forward to going back to Aspen and enjoying Las Montanas!
