I visited Las Maria’s today for the first time. It was cold and their were flurries outside and my craving was for papusas. My first impression was that we were greeted promptly and the atmosphere was lovely and clean. The waitress was super friendly! And the papusas were HOT. Soup on a cold day is nice but hot/warm papusas on a cold day hits the spot! The salsa they serve with the chips is spot on. The right amount of thickness (not watery and not chunky) and the right amount of spice. I will definitely be going again!

We got there and it was packed. None of the waitresses bother to welcome me and my friends or say there was a wait time until more people showed up. I ordered the wings for an appetizer and it took them 1 hr to bring me my wings and they gave me a whole drumstick. The waitresses are gorgeous! But they attend the men quicker and better. Their attitudes are not it. I asked for help and she told me “I’m not even your waitress.” But don’t you work here??? I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and NEVER have I ever told a customer that and accommodate to their needs! I only gave 3 stars to the atmosphere because my friend was the dj for the karaoke event. But I’m never coming back! The service was awful! They only give excuses on why their service was lacking. The mango margarita was delicious!

I went for lunch…I got so much more. It’s all about the portion size of good food here. They bring your drink in a large mason jar. Then they bring out huge portions of food. Normally you get a smaller portion on the lunch menu, Not here!
The spices could be a little more forward but I’m not really complaining. It was a tasty meal for meal and my friend.
The decor is something to behold and like many of the reviews have said the music is turned up, like many of the restaurants around here. Do the locals all have hearing issues?
I’m coming back wearing stretch pants and I am bringing more people with big appetites.

Atmosphere was authentic. Food was hot and flavorful!!! Nice sized portions. Staff is friendly and came to my table several times. No complaints at all. New music playing in the background but not too loud. The plus was that the sprite doesn’t have that tap water taste…nice and crisp!

I ordered pupusas and they were very delicious! They came out piping hot, cheesy and their slaw and red sauce was phenomenal. The dining room was clean and very colorful and my waiter Anna was both attentive but not intrusive.

Really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. I am new to the Raleigh area and was looking for my “go to Mexican food “ Super cute restaurant very small bar maybe 4 seats. When I walked in there was 4 younger ladies that just starred at me,( super awkward), finally 1 came to the door to greet me),that 1 young lady was very nice. I placed my order and then just kind of stood there. After about 2 awkward minutes I was told 7 minutes so went to my car. When I returned 12 + or so minutes later went back in and an older woman behind the register just gave me a face that I will not go back. My food was not ready just sitting under the heat lamps. I order fajitas and queso with chips. No quesadillas, no sour cream, no cheese. Unfortunately for this restaurant I will not be returning. If I enjoy the food it really doesn’t matter the cost and when I return I am a very generous tipper. Personality goes a long way and can let mistakes go and retry but the Woman’s face expression just made everything worse.

The food is tasty and delicious. Every dish is cooked using fresh ingredients, herbs, spices and meat.
The tilapia is one of my favorite dishes. It’s very fresh and tender. It’s cooked perfectly and served with rice, beans, and salad.
Every visit, I enjoy live music at Las Marias. It’s always very entertaining and sometimes romantic.❤️
In addition, majority of the servers only speak Spanish. I always struggle to order my food the way I want unfortunately.
To solve this issue, I advise using your phone to translate. It worked well for me.

Everything is delicious. I don’t have pics to f the pupusas but they are fresh and amazing! Weekends they have karaoke, the atmosphere is great! The margaritas are the bomb! So far Jamaica is my favorite margarita and the pupusa revuelta with the pork bean and cheese is my favorite meal.

My friend and I are in town for GalaxyCon and decided to give this little place a shot and while the food was mostly beautiful and delicious the sope in my Huarache was absolutely rock hard and stale! So hard that I tried to bite into it and broke off a tooth! When I tried to tell the server what had happened and what was wrong he just basically ignored me, we sat there and waited almost 30 minutes after we finished eating for them to bring the check or even ask if we wanted refills. I definitely will not be returning.
