The service was excellent. I was in on a Friday @noon and had the special. The service was fast, and the food was good. The only fault I give it is that the straw was so short I had to search for it each time I wanted a drink. I don’t know why so many restaurants think it’s ok to have a straw the same height or even shorter than
the height of the glass. At least 1” longer people.

We’re working near the are I’ve eaten here 3 times in a row. The salsas are fantastic. The food taste authentic fresh and delicious. The staff is kind respectful and hardworking. It’s worth stopping by here, I highly recommend breakfast tacos and asada.

The food was ok at best. The service was lousy. The waitress was not very attentive. Will not make the mistake of eating there again.

All I could smell was Fabuloso. Ruined lunch. Basic Mexican food. Nothing special except its twice the price of the local places. Not sure how it’s still open. Will not be going back.

I went in for some breakfast tacos. The girl at the front was so rude. I walked in and she asked if it was for here or to go. I said to go. She points to the front and said “go up front”. The restaurant was almost completely empty, with a single table with 2 women sitting waiting for their meals. I said ok and walked over and there was nobody at the front. I waited for a couple minutes and the girl that greeted me finally walks up and asks how she can help me. I grabbed a menu that I didn’t see before to look at the options and she seemed so irritated while she waited. I placed my order, a total of 8 tacos, and paid. She said “go ahead and sit while you wait sir”, so I sat at a table right next to the area where I just paid. There was a child, around 8 or 9, sitting there using a tablet and I sat at the table behind him. After almost 20 minutes, I still hadn’t seen the lady who took my order. I look over at the window to the kitchen and there was a to to bag sitting there, in the window, but begins the counter. I was getting up to go find the lady who took my order to ask for my food so I could go, and the little boy glanced at me over his shoulder, paused what he was doing on the tablet and he looked at me and said “I’m so sorry sir”, ran behind the counter, grabbed the to go bag, checked the ticket and handed me the bag, then went back to his tablet. I told him he’s good and doesn’t need to apologize and as I was leaving, the lady who took my order said bye. she seemed like she was strugling through something very stressful, so I hope things get straightened out for her.

The food was incredibly tasty for the most part. I got bean and cheese with bacon tacos, migas tacos, a chiliquiles taco, and a chicharon taco. The bean and cheese was flavorful and delicious. The migas was good. The chiliquiles taco was the exact same as the migas taco, but with veggies added (chiliquiles tacos usually are more saucy instead of eggy). The chicharon taco was tasty. The salsas were of mixed review. The red salsa tastes like canned tomato, but it had a good flavor that compliments the tacos. The green salsa was fantastic with a great flavor and it tasted fresher and more crisp. I will be happy to give them a second try, but service wise, it was not impressive. At least the food tastes good.

UPDATE:
I went yesterday and the woman at the front desk was intentionally rude. There were no other customers in the restaurant. She was at the little receiving desk, leaning on it with her chin resting in her palm like a bored kid at school. I said “Hello!” and she said in a surly monotone, “Here or to go?” When I said, “To go” she said, “She’ll help you.” and pointed to a woman off to her right and then literally looked away and out the windows to the left of her like she was done dealing with me. I was so taken aback, I said to the other woman in the first woman’s hearing, “Wow, she’s obviously happy!” The first woman walked away from her little desk and stood over by the window. I had planned to take my mother there for lunch but not anymore.

At least the woman that took my order was pleasant.

Pros:
Of the several Mexican food places that I’ve tried since moving here recently, this place had the best taste.

The gentleman that handed me my takeout order was super friendly and cool; I get the impression the staff are all generally pleasant.

Cons:
It felt like for what I got, things were a bit on the pricey side. I ordered the #4, which was carne guisada and a cheese enchilada but I upgraded the cheese enchilada to beef.

Instead of the $9.95 plus tax that the menu indicated, after my upgrade, the cost of the meal was closer to $15 including tax. Not sure how we got up to that with just an enchilada upgrade…

The food was ok. The service was bad. Plus, they had children out of school serving. They were rushing us out in the middle of our meal. Not going back

If you are in and/or around Floresville, I highly suggest visiting Las Lagunas Mexican restaurant. The dining experience is outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak Al la Mexicana. I give it a perfect 20/10 review. As a family-owned establishment, they prioritize homemade quality, evident in their tortillas and ranchero sauce. It’s a fantastic place to dine. The tortillas are delightfully fluffy and savory.

No one was there when we showed up, so it’s was very clean. However the food wasn’t great. Cheese Enchilada wasn’t cooked all the way so the cheese wasn’t melted. Rice and beans had a odd taste. Tortillas were hard as well. Server also failed to tell us about the %20 gratuity/large party for our tickets.
Server was new but was nice she had a hard time but did okay.
