Picked up food after working at the mall all day, drove an hour home. This is the food they gave me.
I callled and asked if I could bring back the food bc the shrimp were over cooked and the divorced octopus was chewy. The manager & chef asked why I waited so long to contact ( I picked up the food at 4:30, drove to the city got home and ate around 5:40ish. I texted the number that I got my rewards link from, around 5:50 asking if this is the food is always like this. No responds. So I called at 6 & they called me back and said the food is like this bc I waited too long to eat it and that seafood needs to be eaten warm. The food was still warm when I got home.
I offered to drive the hour back to them to get a refund and show them the shrimp but they blamed me, I’m not being complicated but this is not $55 worth of shrimp or $100 worth of food.
I’ve never had such dehydrated seafood in my life.
-Shrimp was dried up and it is genuinely over cooked, refer to the photo please *
-Octopus is chopped up not whole like the photos online (honestly seems like they buy precooked chopped up octopus and just heat and serve with sauce)
-Ceviche was good, por lo menos eso está bien
Oh & my fav part of the chefs responds was him telling me that the food was dry bc I took too long but PLEASE I’ve reheated salt & pepper shrimp from Chinese spots and reheated them and it was NOTHING like these “fresh shrimp” puro lack of responsibility
****note the whole octopus, the one that looks good was posted by someone else on Google the whole reason I ordered it ***
Friendly service , nice and attended.
I will be back soon
They have a long menu items I need to try too
Ordered their natural Large lemonade and it had no sugar it was so sour, the sizing was good for a large.
Tried their charola de langostinos and I in fact did not receive a charola I received a long plate with 11-12 langostinos that were drenched in its butter soup, they have no flavor whatsoever the plate was more of the soup/sauce than it was the langostinos
Original price for this is $50 everywhere I go and for me to just receive a long empty plate filled with soup was just insane and disappointing.
Also ordered some steak fajitas and the meat was so chewy/dry with so much fat it was definitely not the right meat for steak fajitas the onions tossed in weren’t even cooked they were somewhat raw hard !
In other places a party of 6 you’re required to tip using the tip guide and here a party of 4 requires tipping. Our total was $150 and the minimum we had to pay for tip was $21, the lady wasn’t attentive came in the beginning and at the end so $21 as tip did not make any sense.
As soon as you get there, they will give you complimentary ceviche ! We ordered the lemonade, which was fresh.
The drinks were prepared just as good. The tekila cantarito was just right. The perfect amount of tekila. It didn’t taste like just juice, and it wasn’t too sweet. The michelada was okay. I wish they had the michelada option with the 32oz or the two beers in the big cup with the cucumber and shrimp on the rim like the other locations.
We tried talking to the server about the issues, but she was unhelpful and not attentive at all. For the high prices they charge, you’d expect much better quality and service. Sadly, this place completely misses the mark.
Save your money and STAY AWAY from this place!
Live music is so loud you can barely have a conversation.
I used to love this place. But now it feels like they care more about money than customers. What a shame. Won’t be returning.
