I’m really disappointed with my experience at Islas in the Brickyard. First, the heater wasn’t working and the server never mentioned it before seating us. It was freezing, and the place felt dead — the music was super low, zero atmosphere. Ever since they turned into a club on Fridays & Saturdays, it honestly feels like they don’t care about their regular restaurant customers anymore on any other day.
When we let the server know about the heater, she admitted it wasn’t working and said she would plug in a small wall heater… but something like that should’ve already been on before customers arrive, not after we complain.
On top of that, my son’s pasta came out with a huge piece of black hair in it. When we told her, she asked, “What do you want me to do about it?” Obviously my son was still hungry, so yes, we wanted the pasta remade — and honestly a discount would’ve been basic common courtesy.
And one more thing — the same way they constantly promote their weekend activities and club nights on social media, they should also be transparent and give a heads up if something major like the heater isn’t working. Customers deserve to know what they’re w

Wishing 0 stars was an option for customer service. Bad customer service from the moment you walk in. Asked a server a question and she looked at me and walked away. Got sat down and waited over 10 minutes to even get asked for a drink to start. Server did not greet and asked right away what our order was. Server never came back after giving food. No check in, nothing. Waited for 20 minutes to find server to even ask for the bill. We got added $45 for tip to our bill and there was no way to change this. This place to be ok overall but now it’s just not it.

I called to find out about their soups with shrimp and if they butterfly it. The lady was not the best at answering the questions – I order shrimp soup she then asked me if I wanted a cocktail of shrimp or the soup.
I said SOUP / Caldo de camarones
She asked do I want it with skin or without
I said Without.
I pick up the “soup/caldo” and this tasted like a shrimp cocktail that was heated up. The shrimp tasted weird and some of the shrimp was pinched.

Bad service just one waitress serving and she included 20% tip on the bill when it was just 3 adults and 1 child. Food is overpriced and not the best tasting. Disappointed to say the least!

Nice place for seafood. Live music with DJ on Friday night. They have a wide range of seafood selection on their menu. It’s pretty spacious inside. Service was a little slow, to awhile to get our drinks. Food was good.

Good food. At times not as fresh as it used to be. It could be it depends on the day. Great staff, however check your receipt if you go with more than four people. They tend to include the tip without telling you and if you add an extra tip of course they don’t tell you about it.

I went in on a weekday Tuesday the salad they serve with chips was very sour I told the waitress and all she stated was that it was made today so she brought me another batch of the same ceviche still got a really bad taste when my order came it was so sour I ordered the agua chilles it wasn’t spicy it was watery no taste I never got this experience here in my life the lemon they happen to use was not good you can taste the citrus was too strong as when the lemon was expired I paid and left I will never come back for the amount of money they charge for the food and not quality in taste horrible and they also charge 4% if you use your debit card
