Maurico Hernandez and Olverta Vincente are shown with a sample of the delicious entrees served at Las Gemelas Mexican Restaurant Grill in downtown Golconda. Hernandez recently opened Las Gemelas in the building that previously was Karina’s Tex Mex, at 311 E. Main Street, offering burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, and taco salads — all made with beef, chicken or shrimp, beans and rice, and of course chips, salsa and guacamole. The restaurant is open Tuesday thru Sunday from 11 AM to 8 PM. You can place an order to have ready when you arrive to take with you by calling (618) 715-2423.

Four of us just had a fabulous meal of steak fajitas and chicken chimichangas in Las Gemelas in Golconda, IL. All of us loved our food. Quantities were excellent and so was the taste! We also enjoyed their new dessert. We will be ordering it again, my husband is hooked! LOL
