I really enjoy going Las Fuentes as it’s my go-to spot when I want a good margarita or Mexican food. In terms of food, this place has all of the traditional dishes you would expect and they do them well. One thing that surprised me is that my food was served to me still hot, which rarely happens at restaurants. As for the drinks, the margaritas are great.
The only feedback I have for the restaurant is that the patio can become quite crowded during busy hours. Additionally, I would like to see a self-pay option where we can use our phones to scan a code and pay (for example, the Toast service offered this).

After seeing many videos of this place I decided to give it a try and I wish I hadn’t. I first had made a reservation but it was worth nothing since when we got in they just waved at us to just head outside and it was a total chaos the whole seating down trying to get between people dinning was insane you bumped people to get to your table they try to get so many tables for everybody to fit that it doesn’t work the waiter was literally reaching from our table to give others their drinks and that was just awful. Food was bad very Americans not Mexican tbh I had to go to the restroom to throw because it was weird.
After that we just left didn’t enjoy the experience at all definitely wouldn’t return and parking situation is insane on the weekends.

Let me start off by saying the food was amazing! The patio area was really pretty as well and our server was good. There was a bit of miscommunication we arrived around 2:45ish and they give us a regular menu and a happy hour menu (started at 3pm) so we asked our server if we can order from the happy hour menu or need to wait until 3 he said we could. We get our bill and was charged the full price so we let him know and he said it wasn’t 3pm yet!! We specifically asked him and he said yes. That was frustrating so the hostess was able to discount our food. I don’t mind paying full price I eat out a lot and never have this issue happen before.

Forgot who post this place on Facebook, but thanks you. We enjoyed ourselves after coming from the White Sox game. Food was on point, the outdoor layout was epic. My youngest Kokomo enjoyed the water fountain lol. Overall great place to eat, enjoyed the scenery.

I came to this spot after leaving the Cadillac theater seeing Phantom of the Opera. I’d heard from a friend about a Cumbia dance night via Latin Street Dancing and decided to stop by. I was ready to eat instantly upon arrival. The tacos asada were tender and delicious and the caldo de pollo was tasty. Excellent staff and friendly service as well. I shall return.

This place commits Public Health violations. I came for Latin night social dancing on 11/21/25 and saw a member of management smoking a cigar inside. I asked him to stop and he said that he’s the owner and can do whatever he wants. When we said it was illegal, he aggressively cursed us out. Absolutely ridiculous. I have reported this incident to the Department of Public Health.

Fun food and beautiful place! So huge…both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is very spacious and beautiful and at night there are blue lights and yellow lights all around. It’s very pretty. The inside is very spacious also and you can find a nice table to enjoy a romantic lunch or dinner. I will see the ambience. Here is the best, and given that many places in Chicago are not that big, this would be a great place for family, dinners, and parties with work people. The food was fresh and good. The taco bowl with avocado had a whole avocado in there plus Fried beans and salad and cheese and tomato pits and cilantro and sour cream. The pork enchiladas were very good also with sour cream and had a side of rice and refried beans with salad or lettuce pieces and tomato bits. The only part I didn’t like about it was that it was a pasty sauce The enchiladas didn’t taste as good as the salsa that we got chips when you sit down and it’s free. The second bowl of chips with salsa is three dollars extra though. Overall nice experience so enjoy coming here in the heart of Lincoln park. The food comes out fast and they also have fried ice cream!

Tetanus Tacos. Make sure you’re up to date on your vaccines. I went here the other day with a friend and was excited for tacos. Imagine my disgust when I take my first bite of my Al Pastor tacos and find a large nut & bolt in my taco buried. I pulled it out of my mouth and was baffled. I could’ve broken a tooth or worse, so I will not be returning. There was no explanation as to why this could have occurred- they comped my meal but still made us pay for our margaritas. Don’t think i’ll return for my own safety

Went there for a social dance night put on by Latin Street Music and Dancing (which was fun and probably the only thing keeping people going to Las Fuentes given the horrible food reviews) and was way overcharged for two of my drinks. Menu clearly shows a michelada is $11 and a beer is $7, which is what we ordered, and somehow we were charged $15 for one michelada (more than a cocktail or tequila drink? How?) and then charged another “normal” priced michelada instead of the beer. Unfortunately my friend paid the bill for our table and I didn’t notice til after we were already gone. Don’t get scammed like I did, review your bill for made up charges and overpriced drinks.
