I love their chicken and yucca, but if they improved the ambiance it would draw in a bigger local crowd. All the neighbors love to eat at local places. We’d come more often if it felt more cozy. But I do love the green sauce for the yucca. So good.

just tried this for the first time after living a 5 minute walk away for almost a year. there food was spectacular, the prices were so reasonable and portions generous. the owner chatted with me for a few minutes and let me know they had just bought the business from the pervious owner in the last few weeks. they were very excited to revamp the menu and update the interior. we got a half chicken with rice and plantains and a selection of empanadas and all were so good we got dinner again later the same week.

Just tried this place for the first time. Nice spices on the chicken and good charcoal flavor. The green jalapeño sauce is deliciously painful. The beans don’t have much in the way of seasoning, but are still nice.

Update: She just called me threatening to come to my apartment after she saw the review. I literally had to tell her I was going to call the cops if she came to my home. Crazy!
I just ordered a chicken quesadilla from them and was half way through eating it when I felt something weird in my mouth. I spit it out and it was a HAIRBALL! I’ve never been so disgusted in my life. When I call to tell them what happened the manager calls me a liar. I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for over a year, and told her that, but she insisted I was lying. NEVER AGAIN! I’ve attached a picture for anyone with a strong stomach. Ugh.

The chicken is good. The place is a bit disorganized. We ordered a whole chicken with yucca and rice/beans. For some reason, they gave us 2 orders of rice/beans and left out the yucca, which we were really looking forward to.

They advertise as though they sell Peruvian Charcoal chicken. That is not the case.
This place sales unseasoned baked chicken and red beans with no seasoning. This was the first time I threw food away evening there dipping sauce was bland. Do not go to this place. The chicken is not Charcoal chicken.

Ordered “large” yuka’s and got this with heavy oiled fries. There food was good but it’s getting bad. Got a whole chicken and only got two sauces of each. Last time here. Don’t recommend this place to no one.

The food is always great . My girlfriend is Peruvian and she says it’s the best Peruvian chicken she has eaten . People are nice. Restaurant needs some work but it’s all about the food . I recommend . They also do take out .

Has the trifecta – pollo a la brasca tastes like it should, cooked thoroughly, place is clean. Can’t be that! Has Sunday specials too like Pachamanca and umita. NICE!
