Authentic Mexican food is non-existant in Australia, so when I visit from Australia, I hit as many restaurants as possible. This one ranks up there with the top ones; small joint, but authentic with a really friendly team.
The enchilada combination had a subtle lime zestiness, and the avocado was a nice touch.
Definitely give this one a go!
Edit: After reading one of the negative reviews, I just wanted to add that I speak absolutely no Spanish and had no issues here at all.

Incredible food, we’ve been patreons since their food truck era, i’m so proud of seeing my little taco van grow up to this restraunt… The food is expectional and hasn’t change the slightest, i highly recommend the chicken (Pollo for the non spanish folk and don’t know any words), or Asada (Beef) 3$ maintaining low price high quality delicous stuffing tacos! my sweet spot is 4-5 (12-15$) I was worried they’d change recipe quality for corperation sized batches of supplies at lower price but they’ve stayed true to their ingredients and are the same as they were when they were just a truck! Congrats Las Costas!!!! #1 Taco’s in Orange County! Parking can be small, so finding a spot then walking may be better suited or dropping off your pick up person! MUST TRY TACO SPOT!!!! A MUST! Highly authetinic mexican food!

What a happy discovery! We plan to go to the Heritage Barbecue, but the line was enormous and we didn’t want to wait, and ended coming here. It turned out to be some of the most delicious Mexican dishes we had. Even their chips were so good that we asked for an extra serving.

Unless you can read & speak Spanish, you will be disappointed in not understanding the very large & varied menu & specials. Since English is not spoken here and 1 server had very limited English, I opted with my limited Spanish, for the Quesadilla con Pollo. It was passable. But, the cashier did the unthinkable: she ripped the credit card from my husband’s hand before he saw the bill & we don’t understand why she put a tip on the card without even asking us. There are a huge # of really reasonably priced restaurants in this area; no need to go here.
