I found this on google mexican rest. near my location. The food was execellent from the start beginning with chips amd tomato salsa. Great Vibes, without asking I could tell it was family owned and operated. I noticed a customer walk in and greet the staff like family, which says alot. A small family came in and I ober heard the mom to her son, “the food is great here, why dont you try something new.” My daughtered ordered guacamole, which I usually dont eat, but after trying it I thought it was very good. I ordered chicken fajitas, which came with chicken, green & red peppers, zucchini, spinach, onions, tomatoes, and cheese, along with rice, beans and a choice of hard or soft tortillas. It was honestly the best fajita dish I ever had. The mix of vegetsbles really made it stand out. Im not sure what my daughter ordered but the portion was huge. Great food, welcoming atmosphere and a place that feels like part of the community. I will return.

FINALLY found a good Mexican restaurant in Monmouth County. It is a small quaint little place with FRESH home style food. The Tacos de Carnitas were delicious, Tostadas and Flautas as well, hot sauces are flavorful and spicy if you ask for it. They make an Artisanal Mole that is Phenomenal! The prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and portions are generous. Most importantly the food is delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Amazing Mexican spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic — everything tasted homemade. The service was excellent too; everyone was friendly and attentive. Not sure how this place flew under our radar for so long. Been looking for a good Mexican restaurant close to home and stumbled up this place the other day. Very warm and welcome atmosphere. Great food. We had a beef burrito and a shrimp platter and were very satisfied with both. Small but cozy dining area, though I gather more people get take out than dine in. Prices very reasonable for the generous portion sizes. Will definitely make this a regular stop.

LOVE this place!!! My boyfriend and his family have gotten food here once a week for the last few weeks and have been raving about so I was very excited to finally try it for myself. We came on a Saturday afternoon and decided to sit in the dining room. The service was excellent, and the food was even better! We each got an array of tacos and shared a street corn. The tacos were so authentically seasoned, where the focus was the flavor. And boy were they flavorful!! It was the perfect lunch and we were in and out within an hour. I can’t wait to eat here again!!

We had an amazing experience eating some of the best authentic Mexican food we have ever had. As a vegetarian family the food we got was all vegetarian on request and was still amazing. There were many options for homemade salsas such as red, green, spicy and non-spicy. For drinks they have different home made juices, drinks, and Mexican soda. Also complementing their food, was the amazing host and his service. To top it all the food they serve is all freshly cooked.

If you’re thinking about stopping by Las Chilangas, do it. This unassuming little spot in a strip mall is anything but ordinary. From the second we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and such welcoming vibes.The woman who took our order was absolutely wonderful and so pleasant.
We ordered the guacamole extra spicy, and she made sure we really meant it before they worked their magic. Let me tell you, it might just be the best guac we’ve ever had! So fresh, so flavorful, and the perfect amount of heat. Every bite was pure happiness. We also asked for some spicier salsa and were given a beautiful salsa verde and a hotter red salsa, both of which were fantastic. Plus, the piña agua fresca was super refreshing and delicious.
For tacos, my husband got al pastor, birria, and carnitas, and he really enjoyed every single one. The homemade corn tortillas were so good. I ordered al pastor, pollo, and camaron, and while everything was tasty, the al pastor totally stole the show. Packed with well-developed flavor in every bite.
We were so full after just four tacos and the guacamole and chips that we didn’t even have room for dessert, but we look forward to going back soon. Las Chilangas is a total gem!
