This little neighborhood, mini strip mall, Mexican restaurant is a treasure. We just bought a house in the area and once we discovered it we have been eating there regularly (wife and I are real fans of homecooked Mexican food). Rosie (a sweetheart) does the cooking and, on some days waits tables, too. The first time I went I had Chile Verde with beans, followed on succeeding visits by the smothered bean burrito, then the small combination plate (beef taco, bean tostada, and smothered bean burrito), and then the Carnitas plate.
If you’re old enough to remember the Monterrey House in it’s various locations in the 80s and 90s the food at Rosies will remind you of it, only better, really better right across the board. I highly recommend Rosie’s.

Tried randomly. Disappointed. Taste more like a fast food mexican restaurant. Don’t like the chips. The salsa is spicy but flavorless. Got a hard shell taco and taste like fast food. Got enchiladas with green chili and rice and beans…. subpar. And super expensive (they charge for chips and salsa and a margarita is $12)!

My late husband and myself with our two kids had been going to Las Cazuelas when the parents ran the restaurant. Loved it then over 50 years ago. We moved to Florida 22 years ago. When I can go back to Denver I go LC Still the best Mexican food.

!!$6 For FROM THE BAG chips and salsa!!
I needed to start this review with that ridiculous fact. While the waiter and cook (only two employees there at the time) were pleasant the food was poor quality. We ordered the enchiladas and tacos. There are only two meat choices, beef or chicken.
While ordering we were interrupted by the waiter several times telling us how to order specifically from him and not the menu. For example, he refused to add onion or cilantro to the tacos because “I needed to try it as it was”. For “tacos” We received corn tortillas that hadn’t been warmed or toasted with wet chicken on top, bagged lettuce, a little sour cream and guac, and the most processed shredded cheese you could think of. The enchiladas came with a hefty heap of raw onion on the top (but they couldn’t throw a bit on the tacos?). Our waiter made a comment that this was a “TV dinner” which honestly didn’t make us feel great about the food we were eating that was poor quality not only in ingredients but also in preparation.
This place was WAY too overpriced for the quality of food. IN NO WAY AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CUISINE. We were sorely disappointed in our meal and recommend that others avoid this place unless you poor quality food for a high price.
PS: don’t trust a Mexican restaurant with a “live laugh love” sign.

Been coming here throughout the years for the green chili…super friendlycooks/owners/service

Definitely a hidden gem!! Since they are family run, they can’t stay open long nights or every day of the week. If you get a chance, I definitely recommend the small combination smothered royal and really ANYTHING here. They cook their chili for days to make it one of the BEST I’ve ever had!!

Stopped here for a quick lunch while in the neighborhood. The rellenos were very good, and the green chili had lots of flavor with big chunks of pork. Not a lot of heat, but still very flavorful. Rosie was very sweet and made me feel like family. There is a reason this family owned business has been around for decades. Check them out!

How this place has over 4 stars is beyond me. Anyone that gave this place more than 1 star must not have taste buds, and never ate mexican food. The chili was water and flavor non existant. Nothing was good and in fact we didn’t finish our food. We wouldn’t feed our dog the leftovers. While I was eating, I could see in the nasty kitchen and I saw the old lady take a dirty plate and clean it with her apron and scratch it with her finger nail. She then proceeded to serve food and pass it off to the customer. The old man was nice but how he serves anyone that slop is crazy. I didn’t care about the prices because I was willing to pay to get out of there. We will never eat here again!!!

I once worked at a restaurant housed in the same space called T&J Curve Cafe about 55 years ago. They had great Mexican food. I truly believe that Cazuelas’ kitchen and original dining area has not changed since then and pretty sure no cleaning has been done. The food is mediocre and their green chili is watery and without flavor. To top it off, the owner (I believe the name is Rosie) is positively rude. Why is it still in business? Got me stumped! I’ll never return. I’m giving one star because I can’t give zero.
