The carne asada burrito was insanely delicious. The meat was flavorful and their refried beans are really creamy. However, the potato tacos were just like eating nothing but fried tortilla. Where were the papas?! Less than a tablespoon of filling. I like that they put all the garnishes on the side (cabbage, salsa, queso, crema) so you can put it on yourself. But, there’s no point of getting these if there’s no filling. Just stick to the burritos.
Update: Las Brasas reached out and informed me that the potato tacos are intentionally barely filled as an homage to the traditional “tacos de nada,” back in Mexico. Which is totally fine! But!!! That type of move definitely needs to come with some education on the menu. Especially when I’ve gotten tacos [dorado] de papa an infinite amount of times during lent and I’ve never had them with such scarce filling. Lesson learned.

Las Brasas is that place where everything hits. Their aguachiles both red and green are incredible, and every dish I’ve ordered has been delicious. Definitely one of the best Mexican spots around!

I finally tried the mole at Las Brasas and wow… it was absolutely exquisite. You can tell it’s made the right way rich, smooth, deep flavor, perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, not overpowering just layered and authentic. Every bite tasted like it took time and care mix it with the delicious rice the best!! And the chiles rellenos? I’ll be honest they’re the second best I’ve ever had… right after my mom’s. And that says a lot. Perfectly cooked, great texture, and full of flavor without being greasy.
Las Brasas never disappoints. If you’re thinking about trying something traditional and done right, get the mole or the chiles rellenos. You’ll understand.

The staff is incredible and always so welcoming! The stamp card gets you $10 off as soon as you fill it up and that doesn’t take very long for us! I absolutely love the quality of the food, the inviting atmosphere and I cannot say enough great things abiut the staff!

This is one of our absolute favorite places to visit after church and we have had them cater a few of our events. Some of the best al pastor I’ve ever had, and their salsa is super fresh and delicious! Also, they are super considerate and made sure to help us navigate the menu for food allergies. Both my wife and daughter who are celiac can eat here and have had no ill effects. We love this place!

1st time in this restaurant. Fire we definitely will be coming back. We had quesabirria and street tacos (asada) and our 2 kids had the kids meal. Hamburger was great. Chicken nuggets were good too! The chips and salsa was awesome. You need to come check out the food here!

Stopped at the last moment in Yuba City. Parking is limited. As you enter the strip mall restaurant, you are directed to seat yourself. You are then brought a basket of tortilla chips, which taste store bought, and a small bowl of red salsa.
My wife and I ordered Al la carte carnitas sopes and small asada tacos (I called the street tacos). The food was served fresh. At other establishments, the sopas were like hockey pucks. However, here they were fresh, soft, and delicious. The carnitas had a great flavor. As for the ‘small’ tacos, they were smaller than normal, but tasted great. They came with a lot of meat, onions, cilantro, and green sauce. I asked for the green sauce to be put on the side so I could try the taco with the red salsa. I personally like the red on the asada. I’d add cabbage to escalate them.
The service was basic, nothing overboard. I had to ask for more water only when the check was brought. I believe the customer service side could be stepped up.
The atmosphere was really inviting with respect to the Mexican environment. They even had Mexican music playing.

A meal for the ages! Flavors burst out with every bite. The service staff are personable, attentive, and overall fantastic. Highly recommend that you break out of your regular routine and stop by. All items on the menu are terrific, but one of our favorites are the quesabirria. Have fun when you come!

It has a large menu which includes some healthier options (try the burrito bowl), and a willingness to customize your order. Great staff, family vibes emanating from everyone who works there.
