We are a Mexican Food Truck and Catering located in the Prairie Pavilion Food Truck Court in Coeur’ d Alene Idaho and now at the Post Falls Pavilion. Open Tuesday – Friday from 10:30 – 7:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 – 7:00, and Sunday 9:00 – 2:00. Let me preface this by saying that my husband I are from Phoenix, AZ, so we know good Mexican food. With that being said, this food was mid at best. I’ll list my issues with our experience:
1. My husband ordered a carne asada & cheese burrito with 3x extra meat. What he received was mostly cheese and smaller than a gas station burrito.
2. The quality of the meat used in his burrito was C graded at best. Highly disappointing.
3. The front lady charged us for 3x the normal amount of meat and STILL gave us a tiny burrito when my husband visibly SHOWED her the size that he wanted (AND PAID FOR.)
4. The tacos I got were burnt. They had a charred taste to them. The best part about them was the broth you dip them in. Again, highly disappointing.
5. The side of rice we got was the most flavorless Mexican rice I’ve ever had in my life.
As someone who’s been looking for a halfway decent Mexican food place to eat since moving to the Post Falls area, this experience was highly unsatisfactory. With such high reviews, we honestly expected more. It was definitely NOT worth $28+ and I will be requesting a full refund.

Five star truck in the pavilion at post falls. As we make our way around to each vendor in the pavilion we are certainly keeping track of our faves. Las Brasas just jumped to the lead with a recent lunch experience we had. Birria tacos to die for and a huge, yummy chicken quesadilla we’re on the menu for us that day. Ordered online and they had it ready for us by the time it took to drive over. Flavors we’re spot on and portions are generous, especially considering the reasonable prices all around. Give them a try!

I’ve been on the hunt for a good fish burrito since I moved up here 6 years ago, hoping to fill the void from a place I used to frequent in Georgia. This hit the nail on the head, where do I start? The burrito was excellently priced, a good hefty size filled to the brim with a generous amount of fish that had an incredible crispy breading that tasted like plantains to me, a gorgeously floral and fruity mango slaw, and I swapped their creamy chipotle sauce for their salsa verde. I couldn’t be more pleased, this thing was wonderful! Not to mention the staff were so pleasant and welcoming, will definitely be visiting again!

It’s a difficult review ultimately they are high-quality, but they really skimp on the cheese, their tacos the freshness the quality of the food is top notch. This place would be a 10 out of 10 if they added just a little more cheese to the burritos, it’s imperceptible.

I used to love coming here but over the last couple times I’m really annoyed!!! I always get steak tacos but the last three times my steak was either really burnt or really cold, also the tortillas have been cold and fall apart. The last three times I’ve gone the service sucked too. The new girls working there are rude.

Ordered the birria tacos, had a bit of a wait but I ordered on Taco Tuesday so thats my own fault. When we got the food, it was hot and FRESH. We didnt even manage to get a pic before we devoured everything. Decent price for them too, compared to other mexican spots we’ve eaten at that charge much more for sub par food. Everyone is super nice there as well. I’ll have to come back to sample the rest of the menu.

Do yourself a favor: Go to Cochinto Taqueria instead. Just don’t bother with this place here’s why:
Chewy, fatty meat makes for below average tacos. And the service is terrible—having worked in restaurants, retail and sales for 28 years I won’t be going back after this: today at 3 PM I was charged $15 for three tacos, each with an extra portion (very tiny) of taco meat; for all this food they gave me a SINGLE teeny, half-teaspoon-size container of salsa verde and a SINGLE half inch size piece of lime.
I asked them for 2 more teeny containers of salsa please and they wanted to charge me $0.50–they said only one salsa comes with 3 tacos.
“But I ordered MORE than 3 tacos because I paid for all this extra meat?”
They told me that doesn’t matter and I did not want to argue so I simply gave them my credit card to charge the $0.50. Unfortunately I was then told they can’t charge it unless I spend over $3 or I can pay with cash.
“But I just spent $15,” I said.
No matter to them.
So then I pointed out that the friend I was with ordered three tacos and got the same amount of salsa as me when I paid for 1.5 times as much food as her; shouldn’t I get more salsa?
No, she said.
They still would not let me charge my card $0.50 for the damn salsa so I asked to speak the manager. I waited around listening to every word of the younger girl telling the manager what I said. My food got cold.
The manager came forward and said: I have to buy a 4th taco to get half a teaspoon more of complimentary salsa.
So I said: didn’t I spend at least that much money with you adding 3 additional portions of meat???
Then she finally just gave me the teeny salsa along with a lecture, so I asked her to clarify:
“So you’re telling me I needed to buy 3 tacos separately and pay with my credit card to get 1 salsa and then do a separate order for 3 servings of meat paid for with my credit card and you would’ve given me another salsa—so what is the difference?”
I just wanted to have a tasty, relaxing treat with my friend and these bozos made it suck.

The Idaho burrito?!? This this is big enough to be the Idaho, Washington, and most of Montana burrito. And to top it off the burrito is SMASHING! Get the steak it’s definitely the call.
