I don’t leave reviews often, but this place is incredible. Our server, Mark, was so attentive and friendly. The nachos and queso were both delicious. Mark was kind enough to give us fresh chips and queso to go. I love Nashville hot chicken and the tacos did not disappoint. My husband got a carne asada rice bowl and he said his was delicious too. Will definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I found the food here to be very underwhelming. While it’s by no means a bad restaurant, it’s just not the best Mexican food in the area.

I think I had too high of expectations coming here based on word-of-mouth and the photos I saw online. If I ever came back, I would drastically lower my expectations for what I typically hope for and expect from a Mexican restaurant.

If you want to get together with friends at a restaurant on a Friday night, then Las Aves would be a perfect option. If you’re looking for a more authentic Mexican dining experience, then you should probably look elsewhere.

Excellent!
Great menu, great food, and the service – James, specifically – is outstanding!
We came in for lunch and were warmly greeted and served chips (very light and crispy – so you still have room for your meal) and a variety of freshly made salsas. If I could spell or even pronounce what I ordered, I’d type it here; but I assure you that James’ recommendation was excellent and I’ll likely have him choose my next meal there. My husband ordered the chicken tacos and they did not disappoint. The guacamole is also excellent!
They have an outside seating area and they’re BYOB, so I’m looking forward to a warm weather visit as well.

I stopped into Las Aves Taqueria today with a simple request — just to warm up my own food prep — and without hesitation they said yes. That alone meant a lot, but what really stood out was the incredible customer service.

While I was waiting, two staff members (a man and a woman) both checked on me to make sure I was good and didn’t need anything. They even let me take snapshots of their menu and gave me some menus to take with me. Then to top it off, the gentleman offered me a drink for waiting… even though they were already doing me a favor.

It’s the little things like this that separate good places from great ones. Genuine kindness, politeness, and going above and beyond for someone they didn’t have to help at all. That says everything about the kind of establishment this is.

I’ll definitely be coming back, and if you’re looking for a spot with truly caring people and great vibes, I highly recommend Las Aves Taqueria.

This food absolutely horrible!! It’s definitely not authentic Mexican food. I ordered a Chicken Fajita dinner with shrimp and it didn’t even come with beans and rice like 95% of Mexican restaurants. The food had no good flavor, not even any salt. The pico de guyo was subpar as well. The sour cream and shredded cheese was pointless to have, especially since the order didn’t include beans. On top of the horrible flavor of the food, the price was too high. Two of my coworkers tried the food as well, and they both said it was nasty. In any case, I should have known the food was gonna taste bad because there were no customers in the restaurant at all. It was just a big open space. This place is pathetic and I will never go there again. My wife is Mexican, and I’m sure if she were to taste their food, she would be appalled.

Delicious food, wonderful service!

Very little wait time, pleasant and attentive waitress, food was hot and tasty. All for a fair price. Our bill was around $60 for three of us with an appetizer as well. My 5 year old daughter who has special needs was dancing around their rubber duck claw machine, and one of the woman came out with a box of rubber ducks and let my daughter help refill the machine. She even let her take 2 when they were done. It was so wholesome and sweet. 10/10!

Great food, awesome Taco Tuesday deal for lunch, and a really great salsa selection. My favorite place to grab lunch when I’m in the area.

I originally was not a fan of them switching to table service from counter service, but maybe that was because the old guard wasn’t offering that great of service. The last 2-3 weeks have been much better. Someone please tell James he’s doing an awesome job, has been very attentive and friendly, and has made me change my review 🙂

Ordered the chip flight, decent, Pico was old and didn’t have much flavor. Not a fan of the guacamole either. Main meals: 3 carne asada street and American tacos, chicken fajitas, al pastor tacos. Street tacos dry, American packed w flavorful meat (weird), chicken in fajitas was cut super thick and big, no flavor at all, not even the veggies, side of Pico was weak (again) and I don’t do lettuce or cheese. Al pastor, from the picky one that loves these, 2.5/5. The pineapple was raw on top as a garnish with not much flavor in the sauce. The bill was over $90 for not much and sub-par food. Not going back. We’ve definitely have had better for WAY less $$. Maybe it was an “off” day?

Only taco spot I’ve ever seen that has Duck Wings so I had to get that as an appetizer and I was not disappointed! Super crispy and fresh and the dry rub slaps. In addition I got the Taco Laboratorio. A lot of unique options such as Jerk Chicken and Brown Sugar Brisket. Sad I didn’t try the coconut shrimp. Even though this taco spot isn’t exactly authentic .. the food is solid. I wouldn’t even call it Americanized. I would say this Taco Market throws a creative twist for street tacos.
