I haven’t been to Larry’s in a long time. Used to be one on the island and remember this being so much better.
The toppings are good, meat is fresh, just very little on the sandwich. Comparing this to other sub places, it lacks luster. With so many places to eat in the area, need to step up the game for me. It wasn’t horrible, just rather have a better meal elsewhere for the price.

I excellent sub, we had the Gold Rush, held the Peruvian Sauce because she said it was peppery.

We were visiting Fernandina and Google this location because Larry’s is a favorite. When we walked into the restaurant, there were customers that seemed to be waiting on their orders because no one had food in front of them. There was a gentleman making sandwiches behind the counter but he NEVER looked up. He never greeted us. He never uttered a word. After waiting for over 12 minutes without any acknowledgement from the sandwich person, a gentleman emerged from the restroom covered in sweat and went behind the counter to take orders. Unfortunately by then, we made a decision to leave. We do understand short staffing, but there is no excuse for good old fashion customer service. . . I.e acknowledge waiting customers; apologize for the wait

I recently had the most excellent experience at Larry’s Giant Subs in Fernandina Beach! Alisha was incredible—super knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She walked me through the menu and ensured my 8-inch gluten-free tuna sub sandwich would be safe for me to eat. It was the best sandwich I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back again. Thank you so much, Alisha, for your hospitality, and thank you, Larry, for making the best sandwiches in town!

I went in looking for sausage and peppers like I saw online, but they don’t carry them anymore at this location. I think if the websites show everything on it, they should list that some items are not available at all locations. I then found the New Orleans Muffaletta that sounded wonderful, but it said it had prosciuttini on it; I’m familiar and LOVE prosciutto so I started my order and said that I had never had that before, but I assumed it was pretty similar to prosciutto. She told me that that it was a peppered ham, but was not on the sandwich. I said it clearly says it’s on a sandwich and she looked at the menu board and said well it doesn’t, it has capicola. I stepped away and looked up what prosciuttini was, and it was not described anything like a peppered ham or like she described. I was to the point of not wanting to order anything, but since my husband and son were with me and they wanted something, I asked her if I could see what it looked like so I can make a decision. She held it up and it didn’t look anything different than regular ham. I decided to get it anyway, and I asked her if it could be made like the menu described. She stared at the menu board for a minute and thought about it and decided it was OK to do it that way. That seemed like the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard; if the menu shows what is on it and you seem to make it differently than what it’s supposed to be, wouldn’t you expect it to make it as it says on the menu without question – I’m not modifying anything!
It turned out to be a very nice sandwich. The bread was fresh, the lunch meat was fresh, and even the muffaletta was good, albeit not drained much, so it was very oily. My husband had a Kong and thought it was very good as well.
Just to clarify, she was not rude or anything like that, she was actually a nice person. I just think the whole thing was insane that I was being told I was wrong. I would go back again.

Just tried to grab a to go order at 5:52 on a Sunday evening. The sign on the door says they close at 7. We didn’t look online because the hours seem to always change. When we walked inside the guy advised they close at 6. It wasn’t the nicest tone. I think he realized it because afterwards he volunteered to still make our sandwiches. My husband and I both said no thank you. I learned a long time ago it’s best to just go somewhere else. It would be great if the sign on the door could match the hours. His message could have been relayed better.

Since when is the Kongs Club not a Hot sandwich?! I ordered the same thing i always get and yet this time it’s cold and hard as hell! I watched the employee use the same pair of gloves to make 3 different orders and ring up 2 different orders! And picked something out of the damn trash can and went right back to making sandwich!!! Y’all have got to do better! This is ridiculous

Our order was made very quickly and as ordered. Unfortunately, I had asked for extra veggies because I do not like meat sandwiches, but love cold Italians. I like an abundance of veggies to balance out the dry meats. I asked for extra veggies so they were equal parts meat and veggie (not matter how much it cost). I would pay double to get what I ask for. I was assured they load up the veg. Not true so I did not eat more than one bite of my Italian sub.

$15 for a “medium” Philly steak sandwich, drink and chips. The sandwich is trash. Ordered how it comes came with cheese and 2 pieces of onions. Guess that’s how a Philly cheesesteak is made in north Florida…you have to ask for the pickle otherwise it’s not included in the outrageous price. Haha. Good luck staying in business. I’ve had Larry’s before and the quality has come down drastically in the last year alone.

Wow. Best gluten free sub I’ve ever had. Also they have amazing gluten free cheesecakes. The key lime pie is to die for. I’ll be a regular here for a long time.
